AIBU to ask if Jo Malone perfumes are worth it?

This really. I really like two of their fragrances but they're so much more expensive that my usual perfume.
Does anyone really rate them? Does the scent last on you all day?

I had a spritz at selfridges but had been (stupidly) wearing perfume already so couldn't really tell if it was still on by the evening.

I wear the orange blossom jo malone and yes, it's quiet the money. I was a bit when dh bought it for me as it was so expensive and I'm a bit tight but it really is worth it and I very regularly get compliments on it, often hours after spraying it, which has never happened with any other fragrance. The bottle lasts forever too!

They are eaux de colognes, the weakest form of perfume that you can buy. Eau de cologne typically has 2-5% perfume oil, compared to eau de toilette at around 4-10% and eau de parfum at 8-15%.

They are incredibly expensive for what they are.

*They do not test on animals nor do they ask others to on their behalf not do they condone it - according to their website so don't know where you got that from.

Also animal testing for the purpose of cosmetics has been banned in the Uk since 1998 and in the EU since 2003!*

JM is part of Estée Lauder, Estée Lauder is keen on selling in China, to do this they have compromised their ethics and do test. Ditto MAC and a host of others.

Perfume Parlour do some Frederic Malle smell-alikes too.

That's interesting about the Chanel 5, twilight- because their version of 19 is one of very few that I've tried and thought "wtf?" No resemblance whatsoever! Might try the 5 then now, have steered clear of Chanelalikes after the 19 debacle.

I found PP scents utterly rank. Don't smell anything like the real thing. Jo Malone not worth it, IMO.
