It's not even lunchtime but so far...

The car window has been open all night so now soaked.

I dropped an egg and managed to cover not just the floor but an entire stack of clean dry towels I hadn't put away.

Next doors cat has just shat on my wall because the ground is frozen.

I'm going back to bed, I'm skipping today.

Apart from the unmentionable what's spoiled your mood today?

I was meant to have a telephone interview at 9am as a precursor to a formal interview on Friday but nobody called me. I've emailed and no response.

I'm away with work for 2 weeks from Sunday night so if I don't get the interview on Friday they might not hold the job open until I get back.

AndrastesKnickerweasels · 09/11/2016 12:23

School mum I quite liked decided to try to bitch out my friend (who has a kid in the other class) to me. She knows we're friends. Baffling, and disappointing because I thought we could be friends.

Am hormonal and mopey and just want hot chocolate and cuddles, but no, I have an arse-ton of university to get through because I was a lazy shit and skipped a week.

Flowers all around. Sod today!

reallybadidea · 09/11/2016 12:28

I hurt my back on Saturday and had to call in sick Monday and Tuesday. Phoned to say I'd be back in today and ds came down with a bug overnight and I had to call in to say I needed to take annual leave. I had a really important meeting today, but unfortunately dh had an even more important meeting Angry

Was up half the night with poorly child, 1/4 of the night reading news websites with horror and the other 1/4 with the dogs, one of which was sick on the sofa

OhBollocksFuck · 09/11/2016 12:35

RedGRape What do you mean rinse it off your bare arm? Are you seriously saying you didn't take a hacksaw and amputate the arm immediately? Or set fire to it?

Are you on glue? Confused

Deadnettle · 09/11/2016 12:40

I'm cold and I hate been cold.

I had a dentist appointment this morning. I walked there in the sleet to find it was cancelled because the dentist hadn't turned up and that they couldn't call me in advance to tell me because their computer system was down.

ClockBusCanada · 09/11/2016 12:45

The cat put its stupid furry face in my coffee this morning before I had a chance to drink it.

A man who lives near me has just been granted a licence for breeding dangerous animals in his house. Well done, the council.

It's cold and I've had to leave the house. For work, of all things.

Kittykatmacbill · 09/11/2016 12:49

I took dd2 to the gp yesterday, expecting to told I was worrying loon, but now I have been she will have a consultant appointment to see if she has a heart defect.

Also we bought a house, which is something I should feel joyful about but I can't feel happy today. Trump and baby worry is spoiling our new beautiful house.

StrawberryQuik · 09/11/2016 12:50

My sugar free banana loaf is stodgy and bland...(of course it is there's no sugar)

Luckily DS doesn't know what sugar is and seems to like it.

StrawberryQuik · 09/11/2016 12:52

Cake for you Kitty...not sugar-free, a nice one.

throughgrittedteeth · 09/11/2016 13:07

I'm bloody tired and threw up my breakfast this morning (preggo) and now I'm at work where it is always cold and I hate my job..
Also DS was sick last night on the way home from school all over my lovely scarf (poor love) he was fine after puking but I'm not sure my scarf will be.

Youremywifenow · 09/11/2016 13:12

-Flooded the bed with a horrific period,
-the baby has a cold and spent all night in bed with me so we got no sleep
-milk supply has dropped due to said period so she's cross with me, am trying to express but she won't be put down
-I broke the yolk in my poached egg this morning
-I have a massive, painful spot which isn't ready to go yet
-we're out of bread so I have to go out

skilledintheartofnothing · 09/11/2016 13:15

i am wearing cosy winter boots today, but i have managed to put on one of those god awful socks that works its way down your foot every 5 min.

Palomb · 09/11/2016 13:16

I got done on my hands and knees and cleaned then polished the wolder floor in my hallway. It took me ages and it doesn't look any bloody different!

Pestilence13610 · 09/11/2016 13:17

Ds's ESA form, took 2 hours and a whole packet of biscuits and tears.

Blocked sinuses, cleaned my teeth and then unceremoniously emptied the contents of said facial tubes and stomach. Sorry TMI

Palomb · 09/11/2016 13:18

Clock what are the dangerous animals?

AuntJane · 09/11/2016 13:18

SoupDragon - First I knew was when I went to cross the main road at 07:15 and thought "That's odd - no traffic coming from Croydon. I wonder if the road is closed?" Then an hour later I found out what had happened.

frikadela01 · 09/11/2016 13:18

The snow means the bloody buses are being twats. Also discovered this morning that the pushchair is almost impossible to steer in the snow.

So stuck in the house with a 19 week old who is a miserable little sod when he can't go out.
I'm hoping it melts enough so that we can at least go to the shop later.

Greengoddess12 · 09/11/2016 13:20

People died just going to work on a tram today.

Cleorapter · 09/11/2016 13:21

I'm waiting for a phonecall to give us a moving date that doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon. It is very frustrating!

ClockBusCanada · 09/11/2016 13:23

Palomb alligators.

Halfbaked · 09/11/2016 13:24

Behind at work and DD is ill so have had to take the day off.
Unable to work from home as I can't connect to the remote site
Have found a lump in my breast
I've run out of calpol and will have to venture out with a grumpy DD to get some as her temp is high and no one is about.
Although secretly glad of a 'duvet day' after waking up to the depressing news this morning.

StrawberryQuik · 09/11/2016 13:25

The tram accident shook me a bit this morning as DH gets the tram through Croydon every morning but about an hour or two later. Am hoping no one I know got caught up it in.

lacklustremum · 09/11/2016 13:25

Bloody laptop threw a hissy fit last week and now can't get it to install MS Office so I can do my assignment and an apprenticeship scheme I'm interested in can't give me a definitive answer about applications.

Where's my blanket fort and crayons!

Spudlet · 09/11/2016 13:25

DS has a viral infection (confirmed by GP) and is also cutting a tooth so he is sad, grumbly and refusing to eat. I am knackered, was up 2 or 3 times last night and 4 times the night before, for about an hour at a time. DH cannot seem to soothe him so more often than not I end up doing all the wakings. I now have a cracking headache, and on top of that am feeling guilty because I cracked and put the heating on as it's freezing! DS was meant to be starting with his childminder this week which will give me an afternoon off a week but that has now had to be postponed. I'm so, so tired... so cold, so fed up with it all. I feel so alone.

ShtoppenDerFloppen · 09/11/2016 13:26

My pet cockatoo is being an attention whore and will not shut up unless I am standing beside his cage or he is standing on my shoulder. He has free range during the day and has a cage and a perch/tree stand in the same room as my desk, but nooooo... that is not good enough.

And I have to get a uni assignment done today. Why did I think that my 3 DCs would be the toughest part of going back to school in my 40s?
