There is a real chance that trump could get in now. Hillary clearly has fab policy's for paid maternity leave, equal pay, and a rock solid record in fighting for women's equality. See the site shewinswewin.org/record-of-achievement/

Has MN publicly endorsed her? With millions of users across the world many will be in the US.

Does anyone remember the Guardian campaign during the Bush vs Gore election? They forwarded letters from Guardian readers to registered undecided American voters asking them to vote for Gore. The response was basically sod off, how dare you Brits try and influence our election and thanks for encouraging me to vote Bush.

mygorgeousmilo · 01/11/2016 17:13

BeAlert good grief what? I'm sorry, is Hillary a wonderful human being? Being a woman doesn't make her automatically qualified IMO. Trump is revolting, yes. Hillary, deep down, probably not much nicer. She has been behind lots of policies previously, that have marginalised the very people she now claims to represent!

BeALert · 01/11/2016 17:24

Just... good grief. That's it.

BeALert · 01/11/2016 17:27

More Hillary conspiracy theories here for those who like that kind of thing.

Did you know she's a lesbian? She employs a body double? She smells of sulphur because she's actually a demon?

AnnieOnAMapleLeaf · 01/11/2016 17:33

I suggest some of you educate yourself - read the site shewinswewin.org/

I suggest you educate yourself and stop taking a political propaganda website as the gospel truth. Of course the website you linked to is going to be pro-Hillary - it is a feminist website; it is certainly not going to endorse Trump.

The US is screwed whether they elect either.

derxa · 01/11/2016 17:35

Oh bugger off OP

needasmartnn · 01/11/2016 17:38

You do realise Hillary Clinton accepts funding from middle eastern donors who also fund fucking ISIS don't you?

yeOldeTrout · 01/11/2016 17:52

Good thing 100% of their spare cash isn't going to ISIS, then.

^this. It's not our election, and we in the U.K. have no business at all in seeking to influence the vote, beyond what Michelle O said in her epic speech - that the world will look down on America for electing a candidate like Trump.

I was a committed Bremainer, however it really pissed me off when I saw a Hollande speech telling UK people they'd be idiots to vote exit (I'm paraphrasing) - not enough to vote exit, but I was annoyed nonetheless. You can't tell other countries what to do, its not your business!

slenderisthenight · 01/11/2016 19:28

It's not the media's job to tell anyone how to vote, let alone a parenting forum in a different country.

The media has become so blatantly biased that the OP people don't even realise this is not supposed to be happening.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 01/11/2016 21:21

I was pissed off when obama told us what he thought about brexit

It very nearly made me vote leave

Twogoats · 01/11/2016 21:26

The democratic uk...

PortiaCastis · 01/11/2016 21:29

Christ Mn would have to employ a lot more staff to read the thousands of e mails they'd get

ruralmum78 · 01/11/2016 21:29

No Mumsnet is UK based and should not get involved

pensivepolly · 01/11/2016 21:45

What?? Why??? Just because she's a woman? Seriously?
I agree it's past time the US had a female president, but if Trump wasn't the alternative I would be sad to see that distinction go to Hillary.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 01/11/2016 23:01

I don't remember that Guardian campaign but it sounds very typical of them let's educate the people I am not surprised it wasn't well received

Even Obama as popular as he is pissed of voters for both remain and certainly leave. After his speech a political correspondent spoke on the radio of his surprise of such interference being British he didn't speak of his true feelings but they were there coded for British ears

mimishimmi · 02/11/2016 04:52

It's conyrolled opposition. They're both working in the interests of large corporations and incredibly wealthy families and both of them will have a negative effect on ordinary people.

Aibohphobia · 02/11/2016 08:15

Absolutely and I'm sure there were some undecided who voted 'Leave' as a two-finger salute to Obama, Hollandee and any others who had a little meddle. That's remembering of course that Cameron probably begged them to tell us to stay.

jdoe8 · 02/11/2016 09:10

Well of course media companies influence people, that's why billionaires buy them and like to own them!

I thought it was great with BOB gave his wise words on how bad brexit would be for the UK. He may be the US president but brexit affects the whole world. Just like if that sexual predator trump gets to run the country of the free world.

Major global media corporations yes.

Obscure (in global terms) parenting websites based in another country... no.

jdoe8 · 09/11/2016 16:00

Well more could of been done to prevent this. I asked almost 20 large female based media platforms to take a stance against trump, none did and look what has happened.

NerrSnerr · 09/11/2016 16:08

Yes, it's mumsnet's fault that Trump won the election. Justine has been getting quite a bit of flack recently on different areas of the site, shall we pin this one on her as well?

DurhamDurham · 09/11/2016 16:16

I agree Justine has had a lot of flack today but she shouldn't be blamed for this debacle.

I dislike Trump but I don't think Hillary is any better and although it would be fantastic to see a female USA President it would have to be the right female not just any female ( not that I'm suggesting that the right man has won. Both awful people with spurious pasts and intentions )

NerrSnerr · 09/11/2016 16:17

'I agree Justine has had a lot of flack today but she shouldn't be blamed for this debacle'

If my comment wasn't clear it was very tongue in cheek.
