shouldn't be doing something (nothing in particular right now) because on just shouldn't , rather because one fears punishment?

Am I right in thinking that a cattle prod would be a fairly unconditioned punisher?

Now please don't do drugs. I have presented you with the information and the facts.

Cool.

moondog · 12/02/2007 21:20

Yes
Devastatingly effective but highly immoral.

Actually the reason also that behaviour analysis has a bad name is that in 60s and 70s,lots of very dodgy work done with people with learning disabilities.
Things like squirting lemon juice in the faces of self injurious children or administering shocks.

welliemum · 12/02/2007 21:24

awful.

Blandmum · 12/02/2007 21:26

I'd love a cattle prod for my sixth form who still have not given me their bloody course work to mark, in spite of having 2 fing months to finish it!

They will be having the negative reinforcement side of my tongue tomorrow!

moondog · 12/02/2007 21:28

MB,it will only be positive reinforcement if he gets the feckin' thing done though.
Otherwise it will be a positive punisher.

Why not just scream

'Like I give a shit???? Flip burgers for the rest of your life if you want.'

moondog · 12/02/2007 21:29

More than one eh??
Blimey,fail 'em all.

Blandmum · 12/02/2007 21:29

funny thing, I said just about that last year when someone told me they couldn't do 30 minutes revision every night for their A level biology because 'They were working in MacDonalds' So I asked her if she wanted to make the gig permanent!
