Happy Meal - Kids Party?

What would you think if 25 kids get a happy meal as the birthday tea for a kids party after an hours energetic entertainment?

Fine. It's my five year old's birthday today and we'll be having McDonald's for tea! It's his choice.

Tomorrow he's having a soft play party and they'll serve nuggets and chips and stuff. Standard party fare and I would have no problem with it.

TBH I wouldn't have a problem if you served my kid all cakes and biscuits either, parties deserve party food!

It's the cheapest, easiest option.

I also know they will eat it! Unlike the 50 loving finger sandwiches I was planning on making.

AND they get a toy so party bag nailed!

I wouldn't put much emphasis on healthy food for a party. If I was doing a buffet I'd make sure there were veg and fruit options but it wouldn't occur to me to question a happy meal as a birthday tea. Most birthday packages at soft play etc are usually burger and chips or nuggets and chips so it's no different to that!

Just make sure none of them have dietary requirements that wouldn't be met, then it's up to you what you feed them.

I wouldn't think anything. Standard sort of food that is wheeled out after parties.

The kids would be thrilled I'm sure.

I have done this before, but not for so many kids - I have no problem with the idea but don't envy the dynamics of ordering 50 Happy Meals from Maccy D's in one go!

I would pre order the happy meals. You could also buy the bags of fruit to chick in too?

My kids attended lots of parties like that because the local leisure center (where most parties were held), didn't supply food and McDonalds was just around the corner.

The kids loved it and there was rarely any waste.

Remember to give Maccy Dees plenty of notice though

Mine haven't ever eaten so I would find a bit strange. Ds1 also couldn't eat due to allergies anyway. Would you be ordering same thing for everyone?

I'm not sure x25 happy meals at what £4? Would be cheaper than just providing something basic from home though? £100 is a lot of money, and if cost is an issue you might be better off making from home for £30

I think that sounds expensive for the hosts. I couldn't care less about it from a nutrition point of view.

My kid would love it and I'd be fine with it.

I don't think a kid's party is the time to fret about nutrition (and they can have apples/carrots instead of crisps if you're worrying about that). Price wise it's probably not the cheapest option.

I think they are about £2.70 each. I would go for it op.

Art if you're paying £4, you're being ripped off! £1.99 here, and Maccies used to offer really good group rates.

We did actually question this a few weeks ago as I saw a McDonald's with 25 happy meals being made up

I don't think it works out that badly priced

£2.50 a meal is £62 and you know that everyone will happily eat it.

You would probably spend at least £50 if not more on sandwhiches and stuff and will have loads of waste
