Happy Meal - Kids Party?

What would you think if 25 kids get a happy meal as the birthday tea for a kids party after an hours energetic entertainment?

Yes or No?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm pretty sure a Happy Meal is healthier than some of the frozen crap chicken nuggets etc served up at soft play, laser places etc.

Some of DS's friends might not think it's enough food, although he would. I'm thinking of the more strapping 6-7-8 year olds, not sure what age group you're catering for.

Sounds fine to me

One Concern though.

How would you ensure they are all hot/warm.

A cold congealed happy meal would be minging

If you have that covered go right ahead just make sure any vegetarian/kosher/halal/allergic/intolerant kids are catered for. Either by you or by warning parents so they cab bring stuff for their child

My store would do a cheese sarnie (cheese, sauce and a toasted bun) They've also split a veggie deluxe into two and made happy meal wraps with it.

It does depend on the store though- it's worth asking about. I'd say most places would consider it, especially if you ordered at a quiet time.

Wouldn't mind - though that sounds expensive to me :O

This is the best way to go about it. Email/group message the parents like this:

Hi guys, catering for the party will be Happy Meals for Each child, the options are:

Cheeseburger
Hamburger
Chicken Nuggets
Fish Fingers
Chicken Wrap

Please reply with which your child would prefer and which drink they would like. If you need anything to be special i.e plain or changed due to allergies or vegetarian/vegan diets please let me know.

This is a list of the allergens: www.mcdonalds.co.uk/content/dam/McDonaldsUK/Nutrition%20Ingredients/Allergen_Booklet1.1.1.pdf

Please call the store, you can tell them what time you're going to pick up and what you want food and drink-wise and they will have it all hot and ready for you.

Options you can have include having it plain but also swapping buns out for your own gluten free buns (they do this a lot of the time and will toast them for you), having fruit bags/carrot sticks instead of fries. Yes there is no vegetarian option but the fries are gluten free and vegetarian. You would have to purchase a veggie burger separately.

My kids would love it and I'd be happy. I've done picnic boxes at parties too which brings cost down - each child got a sandwich, sausage roll, crisps, freddo chocolate. Then I did fruit platters for the tables. Worked out at around £2 per child all in. And very little waste!

That is a really good template for an e-mail, are you good at writing other types of letter too?

ThatGingerOne · 21/10/2016 14:43

Persian

Thank you, I don't know, I just wrote it as I thought of it Grin I write a lot of emails that need a professional manner etc so I think that's where it comes from.
