I've snogged every member of Boyzone, including Ronan. I am incredibly proud of this...

DP is fond of telling everyone how much the Queen Mother loved his fart joke. He was escorting her around his barracks when one of the ceremonial horses which had pulled her carriage farted, the Queen Mother said "Oh, I'm terribly sorry!" to which DP replied "Oh, I thought it was the horse!"

He says she split her sides laughing... Hmm

I snogged Dave and Graham from Blur after a gig in 1990. Went back to their hotel for a party. It was just after they'd dropped out of uni to pursue their music career and just before they became famous. They were still in a bit of shock about it all. Teenage Fanclub were also there and were also lovely.

JustDanceAddict · 22/10/2016 16:51

Mine are shite:
I had banter with Victoria Wood in Costa while waiting for the loo! She was really nice. I was v sad when she died.
I was friends with a now quite well-known actor's wife (and knew him too). He wasn't well known then as she told me who he was and I'd never heard of him! Also met another famous actor at their house once and was quite star struck as he was more famous at the time. Both v unassuming people.
Met Captsin Sendible at the airport aged 13 on way back from school trip. We all got his autograph.
Literally almost bumped into David Baddiel in the west end walking down the street.
Was on rowing machine in the gym next to Dev from Corrie.
Saw Ginger Spice in London in the mid-90s she was in her Union Jack dress.
I'm a bit crap at sleb spotting unless it's really obvious!!
Met Rupert Everett backstage at a play he was in - he was gorgeous!

JustDanceAddict · 22/10/2016 16:54

Have also met Feargal Sharkey a few times - forgot about that!

JustDanceAddict · 22/10/2016 16:57

My dh'S is that he played pool with mick hucknall at uni as SR were gigging there. He said he was a twat!

JustDanceAddict · 22/10/2016 16:59

Also met Mary Berry at an event after the first bake off. She wasn't as famous then, but I had her Recipe books so I told her I enjoyed baking and have a few pics of her from the event. She was pretty friendly.

One of the leads on Doctor Foster propositioned me for a threesome.

Not Bertie C, coconut?

Dieu · 22/10/2016 19:55

My younger cousin is best friends with Paolo Nutini. In fact, I think they may be in the States together as I type. Or at least they were a couple of weeks ago. Incredibly lovely and totally grounded. Still has all the same pals from school.

Shenanagins · 22/10/2016 20:18

Davina Mccoll was incredibly nice to my children so I totally adore her now!

My daughter has been in school productions with Charlie Heaton who plays Jonathan Byers in Stranger Things.
And I was at school with Adam Godley, who was Mr Teevee in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He has been in loads of films, (and stage shows) like Love Actually, XFiles:I want to Believe, Elizabeth:The Golden Age and loads more. Most recently he was one of the giants in The BFG !

kensausage13 · 22/10/2016 21:01

I met Paul Daniels in the queue in Hobbycraft and he showed me his white rabbits!

And I'm not even joking!!!

jamdonut · 22/10/2016 21:05

Oh...forgot I had to speak on the phone,(at work), to Paul Daniels once who was completely awful to me about something which was entirely out of my control. He reduced me to tears. He used the "Don't you know who I am" line with me.This was back in the early 90s.
Sad

kensausage13 · 22/10/2016 21:10

jam i should have added that he was a massive twat!

Never really had any meaningful sleb meets, but a few almost-encounters; Christopher Timothy was in front of me in the offie queue, buying cigars. I sold deck chairs to Mollie Sugden, and DIY goods (can't specifically remember what!) to Sandie Toksvig (she was lovely, and I used to watch her growing up so was really star struck to talk to her!). Made tea for William G Stewart. Callum Best said 'hello ladies' to my bestie and I at Wembly station, and I sort of melted just a little (never had a thing for him, but in RL he has just something about him). Also got Benny Hill's autograph, and met PC Plum Smile

Oh, and I was slightly tipsy in a pub on the way to a friend's birthday and met (also slightly tipsy) Jimmy White, so got him to sign friend's birthday card Grin

RubbishMantra · 22/10/2016 22:53

When I was 15 I got chatted up by a ginger, curly haired singer from a band who were popular in the 80s, at the post gig after party. Didn't fancy him though.

My favourite is when I sold the drummer from The Police (Stuart Copeland?) a pair of shoes, and suede protecter - we got into trouble with the manager if we didn't sell enough "shoe care".

HarryPottersMagicWand · 22/10/2016 22:57

I stood about a metre away from Tom Daley in his tiny trunks, he caught me looking.

Had photos taken with David Emmanuel, Ashley Roberts, 3 out of Blue and Kian from Westlife. They were all lovely.

DCs met Diversity recently. They are now huge fans. Can't wait for Christmas as I have bought them tickets to see them perform and they are going to be so excited!

RubbishMantra · 22/10/2016 22:57

username, Certain Snooker Player had a thing for my DSis! Unfortunately it wasn't reciprocated. So he shagged her flatmate instead. Grin

You're lucky he didn't try to shag you!

RubbishMantra · 22/10/2016 23:11

Oh, and (dd)DH went to the same school as.....Bear Grills! Envy

Shesgotelectricboobs · 22/10/2016 23:22

I bought a free drink for Amy winehouse at the Brit awards. And at the same do got Liam Gallagher to sign my bra.

Scaredycat3000 · 22/10/2016 23:43

I was chatting with a pupil whilst walking along. I commented on him not having been in school, he said he'd been doing some filming. I asked if I would have seen him in anything. Yes he said In Nanny Mcphee. It was Thomas Sangster, Nanny Mcphee returns had just come out. He was a very polite lovely young boy, I don't think he even said he was a main role and I found that out later.

LikeDylanInTheMovies · 23/10/2016 01:53

So he shagged her flatmate instead

So he eventually got the hard pink in the bottom pocket then?

Sazbird · 23/10/2016 04:26

I was at a Freddie Starr concert before I was born and stopped the show.

My mum was at a show at Jollies (really big in its day) and 8.5 months pregnant. Freddie saw mum laughing so hard she was holding bump, so he stopped the show to make sure she was okay.

That's the closest I've got but hubby has met various members of royalty and Michael Jackson when he bought Alton Towers for the day.

I once met Alf Garnet ( warren Mitchell) when I delivered some theatre props to London and he was lovely. I met Dave the hairy biker at my sons wedding who was very down to earth and chatted like he'd known me for ages! I met Frank Bruno in a chip shop in Southend and one of the Kemp brothers on the peer in Brighton. I sat near Martine mchlouching in a Costa in Bluewater and met Katie Price at a book signing (who was very rude and impatient-despite the fact that she kept her fans waiting hours!) I also shared a burger with Mr Maker and a lift on his tour bus! .... I was in the queue in John Lewis (bakery counter) and the assistant went to serve me .. Before I had the chance to say 'the lady opposite was before me' this loud Canadian voice shouted ' I was next!!!! You need to serve me first! It was only then as I was giving her my best 'give me a chance hacked off look' that my Dp whispered that's Suzie Quatro. He seemed more thrilled than me Hmm
