Hundreds of thousands of people were willing Condemn a innocent man. He was practically forced out of football. This is why we can't play jury from our sofas.

What an idiot. It is so depressing that there are men out there who actually think like that.
david getting a text from your mate, going to the hotel, getting into her room by deception and having sex with her while she was sick is more than "morally dubious". Everyone knows that hence the massive backlash to this case.

Boundaries · 18/10/2016 21:34

I'm just glad you're leaving.

The mansplaining is shit, but I can use it to prop the door shut.

BoneyBackJefferson · 18/10/2016 21:35

Has anyone seen anything that suggests evans was drunk?

I have followed this case closely, but I haven't seen even a suggestion of it.

MrsLyons · 18/10/2016 21:38

Well that was easy.

Toodles, David

I was a shit feminist before this week. I feel like the scales have fallen from my eyes.

My daughter is growing up with people who think like this. So fucking depressing

HillaryFTW · 18/10/2016 21:39

I think he'd been drinking, but he was obviously fine to read a text, phone his mate (which conversation he could conveniently not remember), turn around a cab, persuade the receptionist to give him a key, use said key, close the curtains and choose to sneak out the fire escape. Oh, and remember all of this except the 37s conversation with CM, of course,

PortiaCastis · 18/10/2016 21:39

I would just like to say again this sort of thing is why I didn't go to the Police.
I did get my revenge but cannot say how

Felascloak · 18/10/2016 21:39

boney he says he was but blood tests showed no alcohol only caffeine.

BoneyBackJefferson · 18/10/2016 21:44

Felascloak

Thank you, I was sure that I was right.

Felascloak · 18/10/2016 21:44

The more I think about this case the crosser I get.
He booked a room for mcdonald to sleep 8n so he didn't have to stay at Cheds mums, but when they'd finished with the victim they both left and went back to cheds mums Hmm
He had a fit of conscience so didn't ejaculate, but didn't wear a condom.
It was too dark to video what was going on but light enough everyone could see the victim "directing" things.
It's like Swiss cheese.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 18/10/2016 21:45

boney

I read somewhere today (not sure if it was on here) that quite a few footballers are quite sensible with alcohol

Apparently they know that it will affect training and matches and as their careers are short they dont overindulge on a regular basis

I think it was on here actually...and not all footballers obviously

BoneyBackJefferson · 18/10/2016 21:48

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer

I thought the same.

Felascloak

The story is full of contradictions, especially when compared to the first trial.

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 18/10/2016 21:50

Classic wanker's tactic. Spew a load of shots then run away before the uppity women can call you on it.
He could have stated his case more succinctly and honestly as follows; women get raped all the time and I don't see why that status quo should change. worrying.

It's actually really sad that some people can't see the wood for the trees.

That woman was vulnerable, there were four men involved with this and she was alone.

Sure loads of people get drunk and go home together. I doubt many men divert taxis to go and join in with a mate shagging a line woman they've never laid eyes on, lie to get in the room then escape through the fire exit.

Fwiw my dh thinks it's all disgusting, we've been discussing it

HillaryFTW · 18/10/2016 21:51

"When asked why he changed his mind about going to the police station, he said: “I’d rather have sex.” "

Right. Nice. No entitlement there at all. No presumption that her consent was neither here nor there.

venusinscorpio · 18/10/2016 21:51

And David leaves us with the obligatory "I'm a real man so threaten extreme violence to REAL rapists but this isn't rape rape".

littledrummergirl · 18/10/2016 22:01

I think the reason David is so anxious that CE is not guilty is because he has had sex with a drunken woman, drunk beyond being able to give informed consent. In my opinion he believes that if CE is guilty of rape then quite possibly he is as well. Of course he will defend CE actions.

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 18/10/2016 22:04

Yes, lots of vested interests here, just as with the sad middle aged men whining about the prosecutions of rolf harris, Clifford et al. Bit too close to home for comfort ...

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 18/10/2016 22:10

Yep, I agree drummergirl

clumsyduck · 18/10/2016 22:21

Good point drummer girl
