This is how he describes women.

To be fair, he's a geeky guy who is probably just compensating from years of being a geek. He's actually a specialist doctor (just finished) and a good person otherwise.

It just disgusts me. I called him on it before and he's back to doing it again.

Unpleasant, but I know plenty of geeks who get plenty of sex. In fact I am one, and doing fine, thanks.

AvDemeisen

For me, a geek is someone who has an intense passion about something, an obsessive enthusiasts, be it in technical or other fields. That's why there are "food geek", etc.

A nerd for me is more academic.

So a person can be both a geek and a nerd.

I don't think these terms are insults. Geeks and nerds are the ones who can potentially change the world.

PrivatePike - it depends on what your definition of "dweeb" is. Personally I don't use that word.

Looking at the diagram, I'd say "dork" is an insult, but none of the others, really.

I think that's the best of all worlds Av! You've got it all going on!

YABU

rogueantimatter · 07/10/2016 13:10

YANBU IMO.

Why is he commenting on his opinion of women's attractiveness full stop?

I hadn't heard this phrase used in that way - it's horrible. He's either disrespectful or doesn't understand the effect on you/wider effect of what he's saying.

What about I wouldn't climb over him to get to you?

Nabootique · 07/10/2016 13:37

I'm sure that's not the case Av, if you have like-minded people around you Cake

Morris - I don't understand that actually. So in this case, there are three people?
