And why would you vote that way? For you, do you vote for your party or for your local MP?

I am a Corbyn supporter but dislike my local MP for resigning from the front bench. Shame, because she's actually quite a good MP otherwise. I would probably still vote for her to get Labour into power but otherwise I would vote for the Greens.

Labour all my life but wouldn't this time. Not sure who if any I would vote for.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 03/10/2016 19:39

You're full of assumptions. You can think what you like.

The EU had a requirement on the death penalty.

Realhousewivesofshit · 03/10/2016 19:41

Elendon don't you realise that people voted Brexit because of opinions like yours?

Sweeping generalisations and dodgy statistics? Wanting a sensible immigration policy is not hating refugees!

Voting Brexit doesn't mean you support the death penalty.

Dont be silly.

Elendon · 03/10/2016 19:41

And of course, Giddy, the UK just decided in the early 60s to abandon the death penalty. There was of course, no negotiations going on at that time to join the EEC. None at all. The UK turned up at Brussels one day, cap in hand, and said

'Can the UK join in?'

Whatsername17 · 03/10/2016 19:44

I'd vote snp if I could. Alas I live in the Midlands!

Elendon · 03/10/2016 19:45

Real, you voted on Brexit on immigration. Just that issue. That puts you on par with all the other Brexiters who will want and demand (if you get your demands once, you will get them again), guns back, and capital punishment.

I just wonder at the Daily Fail article on the first person post Brexit who pulls the cord.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 03/10/2016 20:06

We had votes on the death penalty well into the Thatcher years as I recall. And the subject of EEC membership wasn't mentioned on the news in connection with it.

Dapplegrey1 · 03/10/2016 20:11

Elendon, what does wanting 'guns back' mean?

Justanotherlurker · 03/10/2016 20:13

Playing guilt by association is a bad tactic, people should not be afraid of voting the way the do because some bad people do, remember labour have a few ex bnp councillors, the fact that labour lost a lot of voters to UKIP at the last GE, not many people where complaining then about being associated with said views when 'they' voted 'the right way', plus the hard left is generally anti EU and the very pro Corbyn supporters 'The red star' and iirc The SWP was all pushing their readership to vote leave before the referendum...

Oneanddone · 03/10/2016 20:15

Lib Dem. As always!

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 03/10/2016 20:21

Labour. Definitely. I like Corbyn - as much as I like any politician anyway.

Unfortunately, it would be a completely pointless vote as I live in an incredibly safe Tory seat. Our MP is a complete and utter twat, who seems to think he's some sort of comedian in the House Of Commons.

They could give Sooty a blue rosette around here and he'd be elected. It's been a source of annoyance for many years now Wink.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 03/10/2016 20:24

Elendon You can't go around labelling/stereotyping people.

It really isn't fair and causes more and more divisions.

Of course not everyone, for example who voted for Brexit are UKIPERs otherwise they would have won the GE and would now be in power

Also 1/3 of Labour supporters also voted Brexit

Elendon · 03/10/2016 20:25

I am not playing guilt by association. I'm just enjoying post Brexit fall out.

Which is what this thread is really all about. Brexit will not impact on my life, as I am a UK and EU citizen.

Vote who you like. Ukip won't be going away though. Even though they have indeed achieved leaving the EU (who works hard to loose a salary of £80,000?)

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 03/10/2016 20:26

I'm just enjoying post Brexit fall out.

Well isn't that nice of you Hmm

Elendon · 03/10/2016 20:35

What else can I do? I voted to remain. The country didn't. Now this is the fallout. There won't be a snap general election. There will be Brexit.

The people have spoken.

Justanotherlurker · 03/10/2016 20:37

Enjoy all the post bexit fallout you want, but you are trying to stereotype and play the guilt by association card, as I said many labour supporters weren't bothered by who was within there ranks before they all shipped of to UKIP, so it's not really a valid critism to say that anyone who voted brexit is on par with those who will apparently demand "guns and capital punishment" Hmm

Believeitornot · 03/10/2016 20:39

Given that politics is about more than personality, I'll voting to vote labour or green.

Voting for "Teresa" still gets you a Tory government. One just as bad as Cameron's. It's still a Tory one!

I can't fucking stand corbyn but he wouldn't really be the only one in charge. The government doesn't quite work that way. He can only influence so much.

Elendon · 03/10/2016 20:40

Oh and I've just been told that the interest in my savings account has gone down. Again. It's now virtually nil percent. I have friends who own businesses and they, quite frankly, will be up shit creek. Good friends, who worked damn hard to get there, who have highly paid staff too.

All for the sake of immigration. (no I'm not enjoying the fall out when it comes to people's livelihoods - UKippers might well be happy to give up a salary of £80,000).

Elendon · 03/10/2016 20:42

Lurker you cannot deny that the last time Farage was seen in public was standing with Trump.

FontSnob · 03/10/2016 20:45

I can't stand it when women say they won't vote. At least spoil your paper if you can't choose a party. (I realise this is in reply to posters on first couple of pages but it riled me enough to not rtft and post anyway).

BMW6 · 03/10/2016 20:47

Ah. Goady Fucker alert. Ignore the twat.

Justanotherlurker · 03/10/2016 20:52

Lurker you cannot deny that the last time Farage was seen in public was standing with Trump.

True, but not relevant, your making the assumption that everyone who voted brexit voted for farage or UKIP, which is a dangerous and foolish mindset, if anything, the supporters of Corbyn and Trump are more alike than either would like to admit, they are both populist movements with distrust of 'the elite', 'media bias' and 'dodgy statistics'

SciFiFan2015 · 03/10/2016 20:53

SNP are not left wing!

I'll vote Women's Equality Party if they stand a candidate in my area
If they don't then I'll vote Labour.

Never SNP, never Cons, never again Lib Dem.

Would consider Green if they dropped policy of Scottish independence

Would consider an independent candidate based on her/his policies.

FontSnob · 03/10/2016 20:54

Who are you rudely referring to BMW?
