Don't need such a big fucking car and should buy something else amd stop taking up most of the fucking road.

OP posts:
EatsShitAndLeaves · 03/10/2016 17:08

OP - can we call into question your driving if the only cars you "tend to notice" on the road are RR's?

I tend to notice cars being driven poorly whatever the manufacturer and during my regular commute I'd say there is a pretty decent spread across all car types/makes....from the Ford Focus ST who thought he could burn me off and cut me up, to the Volvo driving at 45mph on a dual carriageway and the MX5 that didn't seem to know what indicators were - all in this mornings drive to work.....

WaitrosePigeon · 03/10/2016 17:16

They are try hard and pathetic Grin

I was behind a Berlingo on my way back from school today in my Corsa and apart from being ugly as fuck it was really obstructing my view from the front and also when we were both turning. So, you're slightly pot kettle black there. If the RR is ugly in your opinion, I can assure you the Berlingo is right up there too Grin

I think you made this thread up for the frothing though, nobody can be this obsessed sad.

Strokethefurrywall · 03/10/2016 17:18

Berlingos are fucking heinous. I judge anyone who drives one.

WaitrosePigeon · 03/10/2016 17:18

ohdearme the reason rr drivers aren't fussed about other driver's cars on the road is because they are not obstrusive.

Your Berlingo in front of me this afternoon was obstructive too. So you're just as bad.

Unclench OP, unclench...

WaitrosePigeon · 03/10/2016 17:18

Stroke Grin

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 17:20

MrsKeats In my 30+yrs of driving experience, car parking spaces are able to accommodate most sizes of cars. If you are experiencing difficulty in getting out of your car, then might I suggest it may possibly be you who has parked badly?

Again, a school tale - a Grandad (I know he was the Grandad, so not being ageist) berated me for parking too close to him in the school car park so he couldn't get into his car. I did have to point out that I was parked straight, and perfectly within the confines of the white lines, and it was him who had parked all wonkily. He had no answer.

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 17:22

See - now I have to go and Google Berlingo, as I have absolutely no idea what one is. I pay no attention to other brands of cars. Is a Berlingo harder to see around than a van, truck or lorry?

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 17:23

Hmm - that just looks like a small van with windows, or am I looking at the wrong thing?

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 17:25

(I'd rather drive my very ancient RR than that ugly-as-fuck Berlingo, BTW) What a pile of shit that is . . . Grin

everythingis · 03/10/2016 17:29

Rr are one thing but there are wank tractors available from Land Rover which are bigger than them - lumia? Maybe. A dad at our gym club has one. They really really don't fit in the parking spaces and I cannot see the justification beyond being a wanker.

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 17:35

Hang on a minute - you are driving to your gym class? Wonders will never cease! Why aren't you walking? You self-entitled person, you!

everythingis · 03/10/2016 17:58

Gymnastics. Not with weight machines and such.

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 18:06

So a gymnast needs to drive, but someone using weights and such doesn't? Confused, just a bit Confused

Just, point being - don't judge unnecessarily
Many people use large vehicles for a variety of reasons - it is not your place to question why, unless the Government brings in a law regarding size, restriction and use of a vehicle and you are appointed to the vehicle use police team.

Mrskeats · 03/10/2016 18:08

Multi storey spaces are narrow and don't always accommodate your Chelsea Tractor. It was designed to cross the Serengeti but you are using it to drop one small child at school in the flattest county in England. And don't get me started on bull bars and the damage they did to anyone/thing they hit till they got banned.
Those massive porsche things are heinous and you are suggesting they are the same size as a corsa?? Do me a favour

WaitrosePigeon · 03/10/2016 18:18

Who said a Porsche was the same size as a Corsa Shock

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 18:18

MrsKeats = you are over-generalising. I have driven RRs for more than 20 yrs, and have NEVER had a problem parking in a multi-storey car park. You are only speaking for a flat county in England - how arrogant of you. None of my RRs have had bull bars. ever, and they are not permitted any longer in any event, outside of countryside/field use - what decade are you living in? I think you'll find that Land Rovers were designed for crossing the Serengeti (not RRs) you also appear confusing 'those massive Porsche things' with everything else.

Personally speaking, as I've never lived in London, let alone Chelsea, my ancient, decrepit RRs would be an insult to a so-called 'Chelsea Tractor' (is that even a term these days)? Hmm

Do me a favour, and get the facts straight Wink

APlaceOnTheCouch · 03/10/2016 18:22

Ah, but maybe after they've dropped the small child at school, they do venture off road, down hill and up dale. That's the thing about only seeing people on the school run, there are absolutely tonnes of hours when you have no idea where they are or what they're doing.

Mrskeats · 03/10/2016 18:26

I'm confusing them into one big group of cars that wankers drive. I'm entitled to my opinion.
White evoques are particularly bad. I'm clearly not alone in my views.
You haven't had a problem. Oh that's ok never mind the other drivers who can't get in. Long as you are ok.

WaitrosePigeon · 03/10/2016 18:29

Mrskeats, you sound nuts, in a good way Grin

WaitrosePigeon · 03/10/2016 18:30

Although, to be honest saying all people that drive RR are wankers is a bit nuts. Obviously because you don't know all RR drivers. If you do know all the RR drivers in the world I will shut my gob Grin

APlaceOnTheCouch · 03/10/2016 18:34

Someone at our school used to do the school run in a lamborghini. I always thought that was brave considering how much of a scrum the car park was.

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 18:34

So an Evoque of any other colour is permissible then . . . just as long as it's not white? Grin

All kinds of wankers drive all kinds of cars - many examples given above.

Strokethefurrywall · 03/10/2016 18:52

My next car is the Ford Expedition. I am a total wanker though.

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 18:54

I just hope it's not white, Stroke White ones are the worst, and you surely will be a wanker then

EvansOvalPies · 03/10/2016 18:56

Oh no, you'll be alright, because its not a RR or a massive Porsche thing. Grin
