They're at it again (see previous 1000000 posts) or quick reminder I have 5 month old twins and my neighbours think they own our road and are getting sweet revenge on me for legally parking on the unrestricted public highway --which they think they own.

If everyone on this thread sent me £2 we could have the H bars installed! For £10 each we could extend my dropped kerb GrinWink

Looking at that list the OP has posted about the H bar, number 5 seems to put the burden of dealing with the issue firmly with the Police. I think it's just going to have to be lots of emails with attached photos and phone calls, OP.

Champagneformyrealfriends · 30/09/2016 21:39

I totally would op. Seriously I really feel for you. They sound like arseholes. DH says that he'd have "smashed the fuck" out of the car (he's a lovely man, he just can't stand people being twats for twats sake) and if he's angry then YADDDDDDNBU because he's laid back to the extreme.

RedSauceAndJellyJuice · 30/09/2016 21:42

Silly question but are you in a union OP ?

GDarling · 30/09/2016 21:43

I wonder if they were horrid and bullied yr landlord, that he had to move??
Phone police, tell them u need to get babies to hospital and they are blocking you in.....( Go visit a friends! )
Do this very often... In the nicest possible way!!!

Stormyseasallround · 30/09/2016 21:44

What's your husband have to say about it? You're a new mum with small babies, and I'd really expect him to be round there sorting it.

DinosaursRoar · 30/09/2016 21:46

Call the police - every time they do it, call the police. They might move the car before the police arrive, but with photos and regular calls, the police will get pissed off enough to knock and tell them to stop.

Once your tenancy is renewed, start involving the Landlord more. Bullies hate it when you don't play by their rules of dealing with them directly.

Boogers · 30/09/2016 21:47

Utter, utter cockend. How have you not smeared dog shit on the windscreen yet? Your restraint is better than mine!

ScrumpyBetty · 30/09/2016 21:47

If everyone on this thread sent you £2- Start a fundraising page 'send WindInThePussyWillows £2 to get H bars installed ' - I'll send you £2 to stop your bustard neighbours parking across your drive

Julju · 30/09/2016 21:48

OP, this is shit!! I'm so angry on your behalf.

Do you believe the H bar or dropped kerb will actually change anything? If they're parking across your drive now as per the pictures they surely won't be put off by an extended dropped kerb?

Agree with PPs that you need to call police and get a contact (PCSO, Neighbourhood Watch type) who you can liaise with and email directly with details of all their crappy parking.

Wish we knew where you were - OH is also fucked off on your behalf and said he'd go round there for you. He's a scary guy when he wants to be xxx

helpimitchy · 30/09/2016 21:48

Tell the police you have an elderly relative you need to care for, sometimes in an emergency. They can't block you in like that.

helpimitchy · 30/09/2016 21:51

cat or dog poo mixed with full fat milk absolutely renders a car unusable when poured into the air inlets Wink

clerquin · 30/09/2016 22:02

If you have protected your no claims bonus, I would just reverse into his car (by accident of course!) Just pay your excess - I bet they won't block you in again.

I would definitely make a written complaint to the council/copy them. Do that on every occasion and personally, I would move if I had a neighbour like that. Thank your stars that you are more flexible as tenants and can do so without the hassle of selling.

Life is too short to put up with such stressful neighbours. I would move at the end of the day or just reverse into his car!

WindInThePussyWillows · 30/09/2016 22:10

DH is very much trying to keep the peace as every time in the past we have spoken to them about it, they've escalated things and made it very difficult - one time they even phoned my letting agent and told them I'd let my dog through their gate to shit - I don't have a dog!!!!
He's worried the more we confront the more chance the letting agent or landlord will have enough and not let us stay.

BumpAndGrind · 30/09/2016 22:14

Can someone start a crowdfunding page please?

I don't have the balls but would happily donate for a dropped curb. Then they wouldn't have a space to 'own'.

WindInThePussyWillows · 30/09/2016 22:16

Oh no I was joking about everyone sending me £2 that's so asky I couldn't possibly Blush

But thank you Grin

SpartaCarcass · 30/09/2016 22:20

Dropped curb and H wouldn't make a dam bit of difference if they're parked on the pavement and across your drive. They just don't care do they.

So sorry you've got so much stress from them.

Could you park on THEIR drive? That would be a laugh not

wasonthelist · 30/09/2016 22:23

Someone on the previous thread linked to a news story where a chap lost his rag with someone parking in front of his garage and shunted them out of the way - he got a driving ban for that - which although it seemed a bit harsh is it seems a risk.

minsmum · 30/09/2016 22:29

Have you tried your local council, they should have a parking enforcement team. If you complain to them and provide photos they may be able to do something to help

MaxPepsi · 30/09/2016 22:35

Bristol?
There is a web page you can rate drivers on......how about everyone puts a comment on there??

Cherrysoup · 30/09/2016 22:42

Police every time til they get sick of you and speak to the twat.
Get neighbour's to park either side and block the car in.
Tell him there's an emergency and you need to get out.
Put caltraps over your entrance (my personal favourite)

rogertherabbit · 30/09/2016 22:45

Can you tell the landlord that this issue is making you consider leaving despite the fact that the house and location are perfect? He/she would then lose rent money. Perhaps the landlord could contribute towards the cost of the H markings or dropped curb to make his/her property more desirable. I agree it may not affect the neighbour's behaviour, but perhaps the police are more likely to give a damn if he's repeatedly parking over markings or a dropped curb...?

HmmmHashtag · 30/09/2016 22:56

Apologies if this has already been suggested as I've not read the whole thread but... Drive your car towards theirs and park it with your car touching their side door. Then get 2 friends to park in front and behind their Car, as tight as possible. Then ignore everything and let them be blocked in Grin

NoFucksImAQueen · 30/09/2016 22:59

At least just tell us what area you're in. Seriously people will help you if you let them

WindInThePussyWillows · 30/09/2016 22:59

Thank you for all your suggestions. I am just so fed up and saddened by all of this.

All I want is for them to leave me well alone and to not park in a manner which obstructs my ability to access either the highway or my driveway or garage. Is that too much to ask?

I have a busy life with the twins and my own health issues back an forth to the doctors every week. I shouldn't feel a sense of dread or panic every time I have to leave the house and I shouldn't feel anxious when I pull into my road.

I see no solution that will lead them to just leave me and my family alone!!!
