to ask if you would vote for Corbyn and what area of the country you are in?

Just curious as to whether Corbyn's re-election means his popularity is better than the polls suggest and also if there is a divide in the geographical location of his supporters.

So, would you vote for Corbyn if there was a GE tomorrow and what part of the country are you in?

Me: I would vote for him. I am in London.

No. Manchester.

Have been a floating voter for years most recently Green and Lib Dem. If his own MPs think he's incompetent that says it all.

LikeDylanInTheMovies · 27/09/2016 18:04

No. I believe in many of the same things he believes in, but he's not a leader and doesn't have the confidence of the parliamentary party. I'm also deeply uneasy with the cult building up around him and the distinct wiff of antisemitism amongst his support.

I live in Scotland and had stopped voting Labour before Corbyn was elected in despair at the state of the party in Scotland (which is a thread in its own right) I voted Scottish Green at the last general election and spoiled my ballot at the Scottish Parliament election for the directly elected member.

mathsmum314 · 27/09/2016 18:04

Angela Eagle could have made a good leader, why didn't they pick her instead of that Smith guy?

MrsChrisPratt · 27/09/2016 18:05

No chance and am usually a swing voter. I feel my choice has been taken away by the demise of the Lib Dems and the cult of Corbyn.

maths a few slow speed train crash interviews in which she came across very badly did her no favours.

Hedgehogparty · 27/09/2016 18:17

The Labour Party has been around for over a hundred years. Never had a female leader despite having strong competent senior women in the party. Maybe the truth is they don't want a woman to lead the Party?
Blairs babes seemed about as far as it went. Now, by the time virtually half the Labour female MPs are saying there's a problem with the way women are treated, you'd think something might be done.

GoulashSoup · 27/09/2016 18:18

Yes. Cambridge

DoNotBlameMeIVotedRemain · 27/09/2016 18:21

No I wouldn't. I'm in Kent and am left of centre in my politics. Who represents me?

Yellowrose87 · 27/09/2016 18:22

Yes, definitely. London.

Mama1980 · 27/09/2016 18:24

Yes south east

CremeEggThief · 27/09/2016 18:25

Yes.
North East.

GreatBunchOfLads · 27/09/2016 18:28

I've always voted Labour but no, not a chance in a million years. I'd rather chew my own arm off. I'm in Sussex.

JasperDamerel · 27/09/2016 18:29

I would have until the last leadership challenge, as I like his shift towards more left-wing policies rather than trying to out-Blair Blair, and I really like my current Labour MP. But I'm not going to vote Labour until they are united enough to actually concentrate on policy and opposition rather than in-fighting, so it will be Green or LibDem next time.

Yorkshire.

alltouchedout · 27/09/2016 18:32

I'll vote Labour (unless they announce a policy that leads to me deciding not to but that's fairly unlikely tbh). I'm in Manchester. Labour won in my constituency last time with a massive and increased majority, the chances of anyone else winning next time are pretty much zero.

TattyDevine · 27/09/2016 18:33

No chance. South East.

mummymeister · 27/09/2016 18:35

Can I just suggest that all of those who have said yes that they would vote for Corbyn have a look at the Momentum website?

its a bit of an eye opener.

might as well have called it "new militant".

Lovewhereilive · 27/09/2016 18:35

No never and don't even get me started on that vile nasty sidekick of his, JMcD. North West.

DoctorTwo · 27/09/2016 18:35

NHS net expenditure has increased from £75.822 billion in 2005/06 to £117.229 billion in 2015/16. Planned for 2016/17 is £118.829bn.

Now you might disagree about how that money is spent but you cant credibly claim anyone is trying to destroy the NHS

When the amount of money diverted to private corporations as opposed to the NHS itself increases massively then yes, I can claim they're destroying the NHS.

happypoobum · 27/09/2016 18:35

Yes. South East

PinkBuffalo · 27/09/2016 18:37

Yes
Kent

SeamstressfromTreacleMineRoad · 27/09/2016 18:37

Yes definitely. I voted for him as leader in both elections. I'd left Labour in disgust when Blair abolished Clause 4 and went into Iraq, and I registered to vote for him the first time, then re-joined the party when he was elected, as I'm delighted to see 'proper' Socialist policies being brought back.

TallulahTheTiger · 27/09/2016 18:38

Not a chance- as pp have said the misogyny and antisemitism that is creeping in greatly concerning.

zen1 · 27/09/2016 18:38

Yes - Greater London. I used to live and work in his constituency in the 90s and he was always very supportive and caring about local issues / workers. However, there is something about McDonnell I find unpleasant. Can't put my finger on it, but I don't trust him.

gillybeanz · 27/09/2016 18:39

Yes, North West, Greater manchester.

mummymeister · 27/09/2016 18:40

proper socialist policies like having a side arm in this case Momentum, threatening to de-select MP's that don't agree with you and hounding out Jewish MP's, breaking constituency office windows of people that don't agree with you - oh yes, these are proper socialist values if ever I heard.

are all of you too young to remember the 70's?
