To ask how you'd all deal with this monster spot??

Warning- totally gross.

I've had it two weeks now, I believe it came from a blackhead I squeezed (which I never usually do- this is why!). It's about a centimetre wide and doesn't have a head, although I did manage to pop it about 5 days ago. (Last warning- this is very graphic!) A LOT of pus and blood came out, it burst pretty forcefully and afterwards felt deflated like a blister, but thicker

It filled up and again 2 days ago I squeezed out the pus, but it's back. I'm worried about constantly doing it and have tried sudecrem a number of times.

How to get rid of it??

Toothpaste overnight will dry it out.

Stop squeezing it, they mostly go away by themselves.

Tea tree oil.

They are the WORST! Those ones that are all pressurized under the skin and you can't work out where best to squeeze! I don't have any advice I'm afraid but am following as I'm still waiting for my "teenage" spots phase to end (I'm well in my 30s and still covered!)

Are you sure it's just a spot? Could be a cyst or something. 1cm is a bit big for an ordinary zit isn't it?

For a boil like this you need magnesium sulphate

Have you got turmeric in the cupboard? Make a paste with a bit of water and put that on it. Don't touch it. I'm bad for this though so you're forgiven if you do but try not to! Neutrogena spot stuff is good as well. I use toothpaste as well.

It bring it to a head and it will also dry it - it's more than a spot op !

Be prepared your Christmas photos may disappoint. That's my experience 😢 I've had some right buggers that make me want to cry every time I moved my head. I had one with THREE heads on once.

Er pictures!?? Sorry im. A hardened Sporner. I'd say soak it in the bath or shower. Toothpaste after to dry it. Then squeeze it ( while someone films)

Mag sulpha over night on a plaster and squeeze in the morning?

I had one of these a few weeks ago.... Took ages to go. You need to just leave it alone! I know that is so hard but you will only make it worse! Get some concealer on it to hide it and maybe try the toothpaste on a night to dry it a bit but definitely don't pick or squeeze anymore!

My DD did the toothpaste trick and ended up with marks that took ages to fade (she isn't sensitive skinned but it was too strong for her face)

You have just made the sporners very happy.
Try a soak in the bath, a dab of lavender oil, clean pillow cases and a will of iron to not keep prodding it.

I find a small piece of hydrocolloid dressing really helps when I get nasty big inflamed spots on my chin.

I had a horrid one like this recently. The toothpaste trick works, or failing that, wilko does a range of spot treatments including a '4 hour miracle gel' which dries them up.

Another one for magnesium sulphate here - it's a drawing ointment, so will "pull the pus" out (sorry if that's too much!). Good for spales too.

Steam it out to bring it to a head, erm, get rid of all that gunk, and then sudocrem it. Make sure you have some biooil ready for the scar (only use after spot has gone tho).

Have recently discovered tea tree oil is brilliant for drying spots out. Also started using it on ds' greasy, teenage, spotty t zone. Works a treat.

Yes to the hyrocolloid plasters. Tesco is the cheapest place to get them, they're only 2 quid for a pack. Put one on at night and in the morning all the gunk will have been drawn out and will be sitting on the plaster. It's very satisfying indeed. Particularly stubborn spots may need you to repeat the process again the next night. Honestly, it's like a miracle.
