I don't live in my bin, I put the rubbish out & it gets collected - why would I care if it's dirty? Much preferable to weirdos emptying it out in our car park.

Do bin men in the UK empty the wheelie bins manually, then?!

Ours don't. A mechanical arm lifts them up and dumps them in the truck. The bin men nether know nor care what is in them.

Stellabystarlight · 24/09/2016 16:29

I absolutely hate it too. We live near a lane to a park and if I don't bring the bins in quick enough it happens. I actually dry-heaved when I opened it for first rubbish bag a few days later.

But... I'd rather that than the fuckers who just leave shit in the lane for my kids to trample in the house.

Ours do I think. Wheelie bins are done mechanically but small traditional size bins are done manually.

Anyway, as I've already said, the little bags of poo often get stuck to the inside of the bin, so even if it's all done mechanically there is a fair chance loose poo bags will get left behind in the bin.
