SHIT!! Someone put some shit in a bin, and now the bin stinks. Fuck's sake, what total fucking cunts! There I was, opening my bin, and taking a huge sniff of the usually wonderful aroma of rotting waste as I do every day, and some fucker had put a bag of turd in there!

What am I going to eat my dinner off now til collection day?

northernshepherdess · 23/09/2016 18:56

If it's tied in a bag and in the right bin... I wouldn't give a shit.. pardon the pun.
I hate more that people bag and toss into hedges and trees etc. That's grim and there's something immeasurably grim about dog shit on buggy wheels.
There are not enough poo bins for people

RichardBucket · 23/09/2016 18:57

I'd be annoyed if it was in the wrong ban and I either had to pick it out and move it or risk the bin men not emptying it.

Otherwise? Couldn't give a shit, so to speak. I hold my nose when opening the bin and don't make a habit of examining the contents, so I doubt I'd even notice.

RichardBucket · 23/09/2016 18:57

wrong bin*

WaitrosePigeon · 23/09/2016 18:58

I suppose it's better than leaving it on the floor.

PacificDogwod · 23/09/2016 18:59

I'd be very annoyed too - I don't really like my own dog's poo bags in my bin; but hey ho, that's where they go.
Unless I pick up in my garden and take the resulting bags with us on our bag and put them in the public bins along the foot path - they get emptied twice a week, my general waste bin every fortnight

If it happened repeatedly, OP, I would report it to you local council/dog warden.

CatNip2 · 23/09/2016 18:59

Well I would give a shit. My bin has my rubbish in it, I jet wash and disinfect it every two week, I recycle food waste, and cans and bottles so my bin doesn't smell. I don't want people's dog shit in it, they presumably don't want their own dog shit in their own bins if they live that close and use yours. You have every right to humiliate the cheeky sods.

PinkSwimGoggles · 23/09/2016 19:03

I don't have any issues with a rubbish bin being used especially if it's bin collection day. I'm pretty sure I read that the big wheelie bins are technically owned by the council (hence why you leave them with the property when you move out) so as long as they don't actually have to cross your property I don't see the issue? We put our dog poo bags in our bin- obviously in the recycling bin is not on.

Rather it was picked up than left to step in...

LyndaNotLinda · 23/09/2016 19:06

It's grim putting your dog's shit in someone else's bin because you can't be bothered to take it home Navy.

Would you rather they leave it near your drive? Your front door? Car?

I can't speak for the OP but I would far rather you know, take it home? Is it really that onerous carrying poo bags home?

StripyHorse · 23/09/2016 19:15

Well my neighbour is welcome to put their cat shit in my bin.

In fact they can come into my garden, pick up their cat's shit, put in in a bag and then put it in the bin.

But nope, I have to clear up after their cat instead.

LyndaNotLinda · 23/09/2016 19:42

I collect it up and leave it in bags in the shade. Our bin only gets emptied every 2 weeks. In hot weather, that's a long time for dog shit to be sitting in a hot black bin.

Time to put up the fake CCTV camera! And 'don't throw your dirty dog shit in my bin you lazy arse' signs

OP posts:
The2Ateam · 23/09/2016 20:18

I put a sign on mine, and it stopped. I had vowed to get CCTV and find out who was doing it.

Id stake out the person doing it as i clean my bin to keep it smell free as it only gets emptied once a month so id know and smell the dog poo every time i opened it for a month.

Also i detest dogs because of dog poo. If the owner wants a dog then walk all the way home with the poo bag.

JacquesHammer · 23/09/2016 20:49

What would you do with that information?
Is it illegal to put your dog poo in someone else's bin

No just unpleasant and massively antisocial

No I really don't. It's in a corner of the garden so not somewhere I hang out. Then I bag the whole lot up and put it in one bin bag.

I wouldn't put any rubbish in someone else's bin, particularly not stinky rubbish
