Here we go again. Had a few issues with neighbours (2 previous posts) starting during my twin pregnancy when I parked legally outside their house, then when their son dumped an untaxed vehicle outside our house.. Bla bla

Just went to take babies to a hospital appointment and they've parked OVER my driveway. Not answering their door even though they are all home. Fuck off.

My car is the white one, and the space to the right is also my driveway.
Their cars are the grey one which is parked on the road space (hanging way over the dropped kerb) and the 4x4.

I'm already parked as far over as I can (DH car normally parked on other space) without ruining my grass.

I swear some people just look for problems with neighbours or others, your neighbours are like this, what is the point in them blocking you in and then not answering their door.

If they own their property and you rent yours they obviously think you are lesser than them and should tug your forelock while muttering "Yes master I be grovelling and let you walk all over me".. (I don't think that btw, just pointing out they most likely do).

My daughters neighbour opposite to them was like this family, they owned, daughter was in rented, they all had drives with single garages, neighbour never used their drive, they had two cars, a van and their daughter worked at the hospital which is in walking distance, she'd park her car at her parents house then walk to work. They all parked on the road. My daughter had just had a baby, baby was in intensive care for a while so we devised a rota for looking after GS1 while his mummy and daddy were at the hospital. I arrived at the house late one afternoon and to my delight there was a space where their daughter usually parked, I'd been there for about an hour when there was a furious banging on the door, it was Twatty Neighbour, demanding that I moved my car NOW, I'd parked in his space, blah blah. I let him rant on and told him "No, I wouldn't be moving my taxed, tested, insured vehicle, the road has no parking restrictions, yellow lines, parking permits nor is it a private road". And shut the door in his face.

He did the same with another visitor, this time he left a snotty note on the windscreen. My 6'4" son in law 'had a word' and no mare was said.

We don't have any neighbours, as our house is surrounded by a park. There are no parking restrictions. I think you cursed me as I got home to fin a car overhanging my drive by a foot. Ho hum.

I reported a coach for parking half on the pavement this week.

Please report them for harassment and get the community team round. They need to be 'officially' told before they'll stop harassing you. To add weight to the harassment charge, I would say that you felt/feel threatened by them and distressed and you are scared about what they might do to you/your property.

I recommended them to a friend of mine who had visitors to the local nursery park across her driveway. Problem now solved!

Definitely report them and each and every time there is another incident report that too. Get the log number from the police and make sure everything is added to the original log. Neighbourhood police will definitely get on it

I presume you can't park on h bars?
I noticed a couple of houses have them down the road from me, the road is regularly used for pick up at the local primary school.

You can't except with the permission of the householder. So if I parked across my friend's with her permission and got ticketed she could write to the council and get it cancelled.

Are all their vehicles taxed and MOT'd? You can check on the dvla website and if they're not you could then maybe accidentally click on the button that lets you anonymously report them to the dvla. You know, if your hand slipped.

My hand slipped this morning when I happened to notice drunken lout neighbour who blocks our drive sometimes had a new banger.

H bars aren't enforceable, there's no associated Traffic Regulation Order, they are literally and legally just paint.

They are marked just as a reminder not to park over driveways

Mother, that was how I understood it too. We had H bars painted by the council across our (shared) drive where we lived before, I mentioned earlier in the thread that the neighbour we shared it with was a twat with parking but our drive also opened onto a disused bus stop with a pull-in and people visiting the council offices opposite would park in that and block the drive too.
We were told by the council that there was nothing that could be done to enforce no parking on the bars but if people saw them then they might think twice about parking there.

Madison I'm assuming different councils can set their own rules then because the 2 councils my mum and friend have had them painted in say they will enforce them.

Oh so annoying!! We have had lots of trouble with parking too. I missed an ante natal appointment & another time couldn't get to work on time as a couple who live nearby blocked my car in twice!
I was parked perfectly legally & considerately not blocking driveways etc but apparently they happen to like the bit of public road I parked on & told me so in a very rude note!
There is always somebody who causes parking problems - hope you get yours sorted! good luck!
