I'd clearly make a crap judge.
She's obviously a fab baker, having won star baker twice but I really really hope next week is her last as all of the pouting is driving me potty.
DP thinks it's because she's trying to hide wrinkles around her mouth, which is insane if it's true.
All the ridiculous gurning is giving me The Rage.

Also, thanks to the Mnetter last week who mentioned Paul using "Mary" in every sentence.
Now that's all I hear.

I really don't like her and hope to god someone else wins. Which is a shame, as she can clearly bake. I just find her smug, and a bit cold... like a sort of anti-Nadya.

Being no oil painting myself, I don't like to judge people on their appearances.

Candice is a good baker.

But I noticed she veered between simpering and smugness last night and that was a bit distracting.

I think she's a bit of a Marmite character. I find her intensely irritating but she is undoubtedly a VERY talented baker and seems to be finding her feet after a shaky few weeks early on. Which makes me simply feel guilty for not warming to her at all and secretly hoping she will mess up and leave the way clear for the lovely red-haired engineer!

YANBU, I can't stand Candice and her pouty painted lips either, it's as though everything is for the cameras. Unless I was touching it up endlessly there is no way my lips would stay that doll like after sweating 3 hours next to a hot oven.

Remember Ruby from a few series back who used to have all these dramatic sighs and mournful expressions? She was kind of Marmite too.

I love the double entendres and the way Candice keeps setting Mary up. Mary saying, "Yes, I'd eat a bit of carpet" will keep me chortling for years. My only problem is the kids were trying to work out why I couldn't stop laughing and have been googling 'eating carpet'.

Yabu I really like her. She seems like a laugh. And I like her lipstick. And how do you act when Paul Hollywood says your fabulous? I would go completely unnecessary

I think I'd shudder if Paul Hollywood came too close tbh, I used to love him but I've heard some disturbing things about him lately

I agree the pouting is a bit annoying and the lipstick isn't to my taste but at the end of the day she seems like a nice person and is a worthy contestant to I think yabu and a bit unkind tbh. I think she'll make the final and would be quite happy to see her there.

The main thought that crossed my mind regarding her "look" was that she'll probably watch herself back in 10 years time when she's decided to do her make up differently and ask herself " what was I thinking?!" She can certainly be proud of her baking abilities though, and that's what really matters.

I think Jane and Andrew are becoming my favourites as they're the best bakers. And I like Selasi as he always helps people out when they're getting a bit flustered.

Didn't like Val either. I felt she thought she knew it all. There was a certain smugness.

Tom has the eyes of a serial killer, tbf. But he definitely can't help that, and I'm sure he's not a serial killer. As none of the guys appear to be playing for the cameras, there's not much to say.

Well, you may not think you are, but I beg to differ. I hate this kind of 'how dare she be in the public eye when she looks like that' crap.

I love her baking and have no comment on her appearance but what she does (the constant pouting and lick lipping when the camera zooms in) really irritates me to the point that I hope she doesn't win. Her innuendos make her sound so try hard aswell.

I am utterly devastated that Val went. I just love her. I would have liked a Chronicles of Val too, she has mentioned they were very poor growing up and I would have liked a bit of insight. I loved her "leaving speech" about everything she bakes has love beaten/baked/kneaded into it **

And last year, Ian was the smug one. So it's not a male/female thing to find some of them irritating.

I'm with you on Candice. She might well be a lovely person in real life - I'm sure the way she comes across is heavily edited - but the character that comes across seems deliberately pouty and sulky and flirty, like she is doing it all for manipulative effect, rather than it being genuinely her. I don't care what she looks like, but it's the fact that it all seems so consciously done that bugs me.

I like Jane, who just seems really nice and natural. And Andrew, ditto.

My children have now renamed the trout pout "the Candice".

I can't stand her either, as well as the pout, she also does a weird body wiggle thing. Plus she's a PE teacher, and so I dislike her on principle!
