I put the washing out
An hour later it started to rain
I brought the washing in
Half an hour later the sun came back out

That's it

I gathered up all the uniforms
And brought them to the machine
There was already a wash in that I'd forgotten days ago
Had to rewash
Uniforms have to wait.

Ptarmigandancinginthegloaming · 23/09/2016 23:37

I did some washing, and put it on my new airer thing.
Then the sun came out.
I moved the washing outside.
Then I did some more, twice.
Now it's dark, and there's too much damp washing to dry on the airer.
I have learnt not to get carried away with washing because it is sunny.

sadie9 · 23/09/2016 23:38

I saw a thing on the ground earlier. I thought it was a slug. But it wasn't.

thecolonelbumminganugget · 23/09/2016 23:41

Think this is my favourite ever thread.

I went to work and looked at some amendments to a set of accounts and updated the tax return accordingly. I went home and put the dishwasher on. The tiler text me to ask what colour grout we wanted for our bathroom tiles. I decided on white.

hawaiibaby · 23/09/2016 23:42

I felt full halfway through our Chinese takeaway tonight. But I carried on eating anyway.
I now feel thirsty.

DonaldStott · 23/09/2016 23:44

I waited in all day for new radiators to arrive.

They never.

DonaldStott · 23/09/2016 23:46

I lied. Bit of excitement. Dh has just double checked size of radiators. They will still fit.

Itsallgoodimtold · 23/09/2016 23:52

I stood on a slug or maybe a snail (it was dark) and apologised

ShtoppenDerFloppen · 23/09/2016 23:53

I bought cheap pizza for the DCs for supper. DH ate it too.

Now I don't have to make supper.

MrTCakes · 23/09/2016 23:58

I am tired and should go to bed but I am on here. Tomorrow I will be even more tired.

MrTCakes · 24/09/2016 00:00

Also, when I left for work it looked like rain so I wore a jacket. It didn't rain. I was too warm in my jacket.

GlitterGlassEye · 24/09/2016 00:01

I like this thread. Suffering from quite bad anxiety at the moment so any dramatic threads have me crying or my heart pounding.

MotherofPearl · 24/09/2016 00:09

Today I went to the local parcel depot to collect a parcel that we'd missed. There's normally a long queue in there. Today there was no queue. And there was parking.

BeastofCraggyIsland · 24/09/2016 01:12

Mother so did I and also had no queue and a parking space right outside the door. Wonder if we went to the same depot.

In a continuation of this rollercoaster of a day, I overcooked the pasta we were having for dinner and it went a bit soggy. I cba to cook another batch so dished it up anyway. DP didn't notice.

spindletree · 24/09/2016 02:32

I wondered about wearing a more 'wintery' cardigan for work.

RubyGates · 24/09/2016 08:08

I went for a job interview today, they gave me a nice cup of tea and a spelling test. After we all decided it was a lovely job and that I would be perfect for it, it transpired that they were looking for temp-to-perm and I only want to temp until we move. I will be ringing up the job agency on Monday and having a bit of a whinge suggesting that they check the job descriptions more carefully before sending me to the opposite end of the borough.

Shockers · 24/09/2016 08:17

DH touched my breast over my dressing gown earlier, but we decided not to take that any further because we are both a bit tired and have coffee breath.

RubyGates · 24/09/2016 08:49

By "today" I mean "yesterday". I hope that nobody got too excited by the thought of an early morning Saturday interview.

minmooch · 24/09/2016 09:14

Fancied a biscuit . There are no biscuits in the house. I have just baked some and will eat them straight from the oven.

MrsWooster · 24/09/2016 09:49

Very pleasant morning here. We will probably have a run out in DFs new car later and perhaps a spot of lunch.

mumoseven · 24/09/2016 09:55

DH (now not at work)complained
that the laundry bag was full AGAIN
after he did the washing a couple of days ago.
I said
welcome to my world

Shockers · 24/09/2016 11:50

A friend just asked if I wanted to go to the spa with her this afternoon.

I don't.

I feel a bit antisocial tbh.

Knackered46 · 24/09/2016 11:55

I might change the duvet on the bed for a thicker one because it was a bit parky this morning.

But the dog seems to really like this duvet, so i might just put a jumper on tonight instead.

Ptarmigandancinginthegloaming · 24/09/2016 14:24

Popped to the shops, got a few bit. M&S had no wrapping paper for grown ups, which was mildly disappointing..Got home and the post had come. Nothing exciting in it.

ShtoppenDerFloppen · 24/09/2016 14:43

I just watched the last episode of my series on Netflix.

Now I have to find a new series.

But this morning, I am being lazy. Lazy is good.

Messy house - not so much, but this morning lazy is good.
