An hour later it started to rain

I need to hoover but haven't yet.
I put some rice on to cook for DC tea but forgot to look at the time so have no idea how long it's been boiling for.
I should probably put some washing on too.

softboiledeggs · 09/09/2016 16:26

While making a cup of tea I heard my 6 month old poo.
I returned into the living room to see that having a large poo in his new jumparoo makes a mess.
I cleaned him, the carpet and stuck the fabric jumparoo seat into the washing machine.
Tea went cold.

I got ds2 up and ready for school

His special needs assistant text me to say she wouldn't be in today, that made me and ds a bit sad, but she had organised a replacement with someone who knows ds, that made us glad, he went to school

I went back to bed

ThymeForTea · 09/09/2016 16:39

I've got rid of some house plants that don't like my new house

Maudlinmaud · 09/09/2016 16:41

I read a thread about fake £1 coins. I emptied my purse to check for said fakes. I have none. Disappointed.

elsaiscold · 09/09/2016 16:42

I took dc2 to clarks to get first pair of school shoes. Had her feet measured, they've grown half a size over the summer. For some reason I was surprised about this. Later I looked to buy white school socks but they've sold out in m and s.

Now back home I've had to remind dc2 not to eat whilst sitting on the loo. She was eating a pear.

KP86 · 09/09/2016 17:07

I've done about seven loads of washing today after DS managed to vomit in all of the three beds in our flat last night. Fun times.

MargotFenring · 09/09/2016 17:13

I got up feeling tired. I laughed a lot at work and that helped. I am going home now and feel tired again.

The weather forecast said it would rain today, it hasn't .

SalemSaberhagen · 09/09/2016 17:51

I have just had a Chinese. I feel pleasantly full.

I got to the bottom of both laundry baskets earlier.

devuskums · 09/09/2016 19:36

I did all my housework today. I did the downstairs first to mix things up a bit. Then I walked the dogs to town to get milk. Then I had just enough time to drop the dogs and milk home before going back out again to get Dd.

HenRah · 20/09/2016 13:20

I've got a cold

Fizzer123 · 20/09/2016 18:54

I smelled a weird smell in my work bag, and found a liquified banana. I have no idea how old was is.
I now need to clean my bag.

CaptainCabinet · 20/09/2016 19:01

Ate a Mars bar while resolving to not eat Mars bars as I don't want to get gestational diabetes.
DH now has the rest of the multipath in his work bag.

WhateverWillBe · 20/09/2016 19:04

I received my first new, plastic fiver today at the shop.

The kids looked at it for a minute and so did I. It's plastic, just like they said.

I got home from a stupidly tiring day at work. I went to close my eyes for 5 minutes but the supermarket delivery man decided that this would be the day to arrive exactly at the beginning of the delivery slot time. I got up and put the shopping away. i decided I might as well cook the food as I'm up. I nearly set the house on fire by putting the wrong hob on that happened to have some rubber sitting on top of it. It took me ages to notice despite me standing next to it the whole time. I got the food simmering in a pan and made myself a cup of tea to take to sit in bed for a while until I need to go and check on the food. I got comfy in bed and took a sip. i had forgotten to put the sugar in. I cannot drink tea without sugar. I wanted to cry. i got back to the kitchen to discover that not only had I not put the sugar in but I had also not taken the tea bag out. I feel its going to be a painful night!

FriskyFrog · 20/09/2016 19:16

I forgot the dog was in the garden. She was out there for an hour or so. She's quiet and doesn't bark or scratch to come in. She likes it outside; it's a good job really. She likes watching next door's ducks. I think she sees them as good bait for the fox.

DancingDolly · 20/09/2016 19:18

Had a cheese and marmite bagel for lunch at work followed by a cup of tea and a rocky bar. Felt mildly nauseous afterwards. Got home about 5.30, starving and ate a chocolate digestive followed by 2 cold roast potatoes and some toad in the hole from yesterday. In laws brought the kids home where they'd had savoury mince and mash.

Birdsgottafly · 20/09/2016 19:20

Couldn't find a folder in my Hotmail. Somehow it's become a Subfolder in Drafts.

I've got to wait until it's dark to get money out of the Cash Machine, because I can't be bothered to wash my hair.

MrsSecker · 20/09/2016 19:26

I've coughed so much today it gave me a headache. Took paracetamol and it went away

bigbuttons · 20/09/2016 19:35

Spent the morning at work, it was stressful and I didn't like it. Tomorrow it will be stressful again.
Once home from work I have tried to tidy the house. I can't work out what I have been doing wrong as I haven't stopped tidying for hours but it doesn't look any different.
Tomorrow I will attempt to tidy the house again.

I think this is my favourite ever Mumsnet thread.

I was worried that I wouldn't remember to buy potatoes and veg for dinner. I did remember.
