To buy my son girls' leggings?

Does anyone else but their sons girls' leggings? He starts nursery soon and jeggings look great with the nursery tshirt but are still super comfy but I can only actually see them for sale for girls? So would it be too obvious?

No you definitley shouldn't, his penis will drop off

TheHubblesWindscreenWipers · 02/09/2016 20:08

I do because ds is so skinny. He's a 3-6 month waist and a 12 month leg. No trousers seem to fit!

Polarn o pyret do nice leggings that aren't overly girly or boyish - nice bright colours or stripes.

If you sew, they take about ten minutes to make a pair.

ssd · 02/09/2016 20:09

nothing wrong with this at all op

Mybeardeddragonjustdied2016 · 02/09/2016 20:09

My friends son used to wear girls tights under his trousers.

Am thinking it's on the same lines.
Odd.
Sorry.

RosaliesGinBottle · 02/09/2016 20:11

My son haaaates boys' trousers and joggers, as they all have this heavy waistband. He rocks his leggings and jeggings from the girls' section of Next. We got animal drawings, mint green, and black in the sale for quite a reasonable amt.

Queenbean · 02/09/2016 20:11

If he wears them he might catch The Gay

I wouldn't. Just to be safe.

SamuelSammy · 02/09/2016 20:12

The - thank you! The organic yellow ones are great, there's the exact yellow in his logo, so it goes perfectly!!!

Why is it odd? Confused

It's a pair of leggings, it's perfectly fine. As long as he is comfy and it's practical it doesn't matter what section you buy his clothes from.

WellErrr · 02/09/2016 20:12

Queen I was literally just going to say that Grin

My DS wore girls leggings as they're much easier under waterproofs (we live on a farm and he lives in them in winter).

He seems fine.

NapQueen · 02/09/2016 20:13

The H&m jeggins are perfect for either sex and I often wonder why they are in the girls section.

PickleBot · 02/09/2016 20:13

If you don't tell anyone then nobody will notice or comment. My son loves wearing leggings because the are comfortable. We have no problem with girls wearing trousers for the same reasons so I don't really see an issue. DS is 5 now BTW.

Mausageandsash · 02/09/2016 20:14

No I think it's abseloutely fine! Boys wear boy leggings and often there are more options available in girls ones X

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 02/09/2016 20:14

DC2 has worn his older sisters outgrown leggings. They looked much comfier when he was crawling around than thicker trousers with a button

NapQueen · 02/09/2016 20:16

Oh but YABU if it's these ones as no one should be spending 22 quid on leggings which are going to get wreck at nursery.

SamuelSammy · 02/09/2016 20:16

The H&M jeggings look lovely too. Thank you.

Great! I just didn't want people to think it was odd. Someone on here thinks it is, so I knew I wasn't just thinking that out of no where!

The ones are £12 the yellow ones on Polarn O Pyret

Phew!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 02/09/2016 20:18

No-one will know that they were from the girls section though, unless they're flowery or have bows on or something. I can't bear to our DS in jeans, they seem so uncomfy. Deffo going to check out the H&M jeggings!

youarenotkiddingme · 02/09/2016 20:19

My sister use to dress my nephew in the most adorable leggings/rights that had an animal print on the bum!

He's a great boy who loves his pirates, dinosaurs and dancing.

Kids will be who they'll be whatever they are dressed in. Society needs to get on board with that.

Passthecake30 · 02/09/2016 20:20

I wouldn't, just because it's not nice to be ridiculed for wearing something outside of the norm. Primark joggers are narrow legged and comfy.

NoCapes · 02/09/2016 20:20

I've always bought my boys girls leggings
DS1 is so skinny, all boys pants that are long enough just fall off
They're also much comfier and easier for crawling in when babies, running and climbing in when older

I don't think anyone's ever noticed, at least they've never said anything to me

stiffstink · 02/09/2016 20:22

DS used to wear leggings or tights under jeans as an extra layer. He doesn't any more as I am currently struggling to get him to wear any clothing at all.

At least DD can have his hand me downs.

SamuelSammy · 02/09/2016 20:22

Pass, he's only 2, so his 2 year old little friends won't mind. It was the mums I was more worried about.

Here, they start ripping the piss out of around age 4. What's wrong with joggers? (Disclaimer - I've had wine).
