To buy my son girls' leggings?

Does anyone else but their sons girls' leggings? He starts nursery soon and jeggings look great with the nursery tshirt but are still super comfy but I can only actually see them for sale for girls? So would it be too obvious?

If you want tights. Slugs n snails do some fab unisex ones. We have 3 pairs and love them

Whitecovers · 02/09/2016 22:55

My 3 year old practically lives in leggings. We get them from Zara, dude and dolls, and few other Instagram shops.
They are trendy and practical.

Whitecovers · 02/09/2016 22:55

Oh all his leggings are aimed towards boys or unisex.

Excited101 · 02/09/2016 22:57

I used to dress a little boy who I cared for in tights under shorts or dungarees in winter, he always looked adorable and was cosy and comfortable, what's the problem?!

Velvetdarkness · 02/09/2016 23:00

My son spent the summer in girls' shorts ie proper shorts rather than slightly shortened trousers. His penis was still there when I checked last so yanbu.

princessconsuelobananahammock · 02/09/2016 23:08

I am mostly gobsmacked at what people will pay for leggings for small kids?! I think I might live on another planet!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/09/2016 11:15

Today DS is wearing some awesome robot leggings from Tobias & the Bear - I fully intend to dress any future DDs in them! :)

Artandco · 03/09/2016 12:39

Princess - why? I have two children, all clothing gets worn by both. So the average item lasts around 3 years between them. I think that's good value for clothes as well used. They don't have a huge amount so most items get worn loads

ForalltheSaints · 03/09/2016 13:09

No one should ever have leggings, regardless of age or gender. They should all be put in a pile and burnt.

Who ever invented them if they are still alive are in the queue for flogging in my book.

allowlsthinkalot · 03/09/2016 14:05

You can get boys' leggings and tights on ebay very cheaply if a boyish print helps!

minatiae · 03/09/2016 20:07

IMO leggings are for wearing under skirts or dresses. They are not a stand alone pair of trousers.

Spiderpigspiderpig · 03/09/2016 20:26

Imm with mina leggings & tights give everyone a saggy bum no matter who they are

Artandco · 03/09/2016 20:31

Maybe your buying the wrong type of leggings and tights? Leggings here are thick, not see through. And tights thick and fitted, no baggy bums

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/09/2016 20:59

Shock do you really think these should be burnt????? Never! Not the best pic I'll give you that. Love a legging. DS is always in leggings or joggers, I can't imagine what other options there are?? Jeans? Too uncomfy and restrictive looking.

h&m do some great leggings for boys.

HeddaLettuce · 03/09/2016 21:04

Is there a special shop where they only sell stuff to you if you have a birth cert for a girl baby?

Welshrainbow · 03/09/2016 21:05

My DS wears the jeggings from the girls section at tesco, they were £4 and he loves them. He also has some red ones and black ones from somewhere else.

Welshrainbow · 03/09/2016 21:06

Oh wow where are those robot leggings from bendydick? my DS would love them.

YawningKasm · 03/09/2016 21:17

Oh no, OP if you buy him girl's leggings he'll

a) catch the gay
b) turn into a girl

Or c) be absolutely unaffected

I wear men's shirts because I like their cut. Big deal.

But seriously, why are we living in a world where someone even needs to ask this question?

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/09/2016 21:20

Welsh www.tobiasandthebear.com They're really good quality!

flutterby77 · 03/09/2016 21:28

My son is 2 and is pretty small and skinny due to a growth condition. I put him in leggings regularly, my older daughter (5) has always worn them as they're so easy and so comfy. He's a twin and I put him in leggings the bigger twin (girl) has grown out of.

PitchFork · 03/09/2016 21:28

I did when ds was little.
I even put him is tights. stopped him pulling off and losing his socks all the bloody time.
all sorts of cool colours

YawningKasm · 03/09/2016 22:10

Tights are normal wear for children of both sexes in the colder bits of Europe. Don't know why it's so shocking here.

My DS wears jeggings (8 months old), they're soft and lightweight, perfect for a breezy summer day.

My friend's 5 year old son is very upset that he isn't allowed to wear jeggings as they are so comfy. His mum lets him wear them in the house only...
