Because of the mysterious popularity of these threads which no-one is actually responding to, here's the Seventh Thread.

The other ones have all filled up, but I'm not at all sure how.

(I have done this by proxy for VanillaSugar).

Come on people! Call to action here!

We have Being's* wedding to organise and lots of other good stuff.
AGL's holiday and exam results to get through.
Portia's love life and her DD's exam results.
Jess budding romance with Bambi Co-op Boy.
Better's quest to wear that blue bridesmaid's dress.
My addiction to posting memes which seems to be welcome on these threads.

LET'S GO...!!!!

Oh yes Better We had lunch out with Mum and Gran which was hilarious ( plese read earlier posts) Came home and had a nap and she's gone out with a group of friends. They're staying !ocal as some are old enough to drink and will ring Parents for lifts home if required. I'm excluddd as I am on the gin 😁
Very happy because with her subject results she'll be able to continue her studies. She'll probably drop English as the other subjects are more suited to her ambition.
Horrible day and night yesterday but it's over for a year now.
Thanks for the advice you gave me, it was an agonising wait but when my phone rang I just knew all was ok.

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 20:09

Changing sheets depends on nocturnal activity😂

AverageGayLad · 18/08/2016 20:09

It's a button on my tablet keyboard!

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 20:12

Yes, you can tell immediately from the tone of voice when they call, can't you? I've been in that position many a time!
Yes, I read the full account of your celebratory lunch and how Gran stole the show (as usual!) Grin

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 20:13

I have found the blue bridesmaids dress

Now that's what I call a dress! Do you think Being would agree or do I still have to wear the floral curtain one?

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 20:19

Being? Being?

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 20:22

Wherefore art thou Being a frock review is required

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 20:22

. Do you think she might worry about being outshone if I wore that? I think we'd have to reduce the numbers at the barn as well, to make room... but well worth it

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 20:24

What a time for Being to be off thread! You'd think she'd care more about her own wedding! Here we are, doing all the work...

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 20:25

Apparently hip pads are required because the weight of the dress can do your hips an injury. A bigger barn you say? Hmm I wonder if Grans boyf Jim has a barn, I will ask.

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 20:27

It's absolutely perfect, Portia - I will insist on wearing it!

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 20:27

I cannot say where that pic came from but the dresses have been on a tv show

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 20:28

Check if he has any conditions Jess will have to fulfil...

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 20:29

Being has a wedding dress doesn't she or shall I use my contact Mr Google and seek one out?

RubyCav · 18/08/2016 20:31

Apparently hip pads are required because the weight of the dress can do your hips an injury

I saw a snippet of big fat gypsy wedding once and the girl said it was normal to get scars on your hips and the bigger the scars the better your wedding was or some thing like that Confused

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 20:31

Jim was a lifeboatman so possible resuscitation skills are required. He never takes his hat off though

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 20:33

No, I don't think she has, Portia - why don't you help out and choose one for her? perhaps a bit less glamorous than mine

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 20:33

Correct Ruby but the g word is possibly racist on here. Travellers attire has a nice ring to it I feel

PortiaCastis · 18/08/2016 20:34

I am off to visit Mr Google

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 20:35

Ruby That's exactly what came into my mind! The Big Fat Gypsy Wedding dresses! And the huge cakes, made of polystyrene! Grin

Bettercallsaul1 · 18/08/2016 20:37

It's quoting the title of the series so should be okay, hopefully.

RubyCav · 18/08/2016 20:37

I only change the sheets twice-nightly though....

Only twice a night Shock- you slob. I just cannot get over how could you be so slovenly!!! I'm absolutely horrified. I have magic elves who change mine on the hour, every hour without disturbing my sleep. They also wash on 95°C for 6hours with bleech, then rinse with the strongest smelling fabric softner and iron them instantly. Any less is just awfully dirty. Grin

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 18/08/2016 20:40

So I spend all bloody day on this thread and the minute I leave my phone somewhere else, you all start talking to me... Typical!

Better, we can use the curtain material to make that dress if you like.

RubyCav · 18/08/2016 20:40

g word is possibly racist on here

But...but....but...I was only quoting the title. I wouldn't shout "oi you, ya g*" or anything like that!Shock
