To start a SEVENTH thread nobody responds to?

Because of the mysterious popularity of these threads which no-one is actually responding to, here's the Seventh Thread.

The other ones have all filled up, but I'm not at all sure how.

(I have done this by proxy for VanillaSugar).

Come on people! Call to action here!

We have Being's* wedding to organise and lots of other good stuff.
AGL's holiday and exam results to get through.
Portia's love life and her DD's exam results.
Jess budding romance with Bambi Co-op Boy.
Better's quest to wear that blue bridesmaid's dress.
My addiction to posting memes which seems to be welcome on these threads.

LET'S GO...!!!!

In the nicest possible way, how is this thread still going on. I remember when it stated. Grin

Whataboutwhathuh · 18/08/2016 14:52

We just pull together posting nothing and no one responds and suddenly it's full.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 18/08/2016 14:53

toad, it sounds like you all haven't had the best start in life. Considering that, you are a truly lovely person to talk to. Many would be unpleasant and bitter.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 18/08/2016 14:54

Amandals, because it's nice to chat about nothing together.

toadgirl · 18/08/2016 14:54

Glad you are here, Amanda

We don't know how the thread is still going on. No-one ever responds to it. That's why it's so damned spooky.

As for us regulars, we seem to be caught in a time warp or something - we certainly cannot escape.

You are very welcome here, but be warned - you may never escape again.

Being

Aw thanks, Being!

I sometimes stew away and feel bitter on my bad days. I have looked for love in all the wrong places as a result of all that mess which has further fucked-up my life at times. Ah well, we live and learn, I suppose.

I'm not 100% whether I'd have had children had I had a different childhood. I sometimes fancy I would. For a long time, I was terrified of being like my mother. She insists she is a perfect mother though (better than other mothers). She's very full of herself. Has all the answers. She bases her perfection on martyring herself for us and having no life. She doesn't seem to see that some children would have preferred a kinder, more laid-back home where they could be themselves.

I really get upset when I see young (and not so young) women throwing their lives away on men who don't deserve them, so always try to help. I know it's not easy.

I always think what if. I wonder what if I had never accidentally fallen pregnant? What would my life be like? But I wouldn't have my DD and that thought is awful!

Your life went a certain way and it led you to us. Grin

That's just it. I bet there's nothing in life you'd swap your DD for. Just the way it should be :)

Your life went a certain way and it led you to us. grin

You're so right. It was a long and twisted journey, but here I am, helping to organise your wedding Grin.

I meant to say earlier that I laughed at your post about setting DP straight when he thought he was still getting a say in his own wedding. It's been completely hijacked by MN!!!!

I got so excited by the babies' exam results that I lost track of posting. They are all so keen and know what they want. Plus they have RL (I hate saying Out There is RL - it soon isn't) and MN support. They'll go far, I just know it.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 18/08/2016 15:12

No, there is nothing I would swap her for, you're right.

Yes it has and it is going to be EPIC!

I am loving these threads. I feel like I know you all. It's weird though because I can't picture what you look like. Grin

toadgirl · 18/08/2016 15:13

Well, I think we can safely say there has never been another wedding like it!

All royalties shall be paid to us!

toadgirl · 18/08/2016 15:18

Yes, we need Portia to help us make sure we get the right cut of royalties and do our taxes and stuff. I am crap with figures.
