Does anyone else think that it's going to a a long hard winter?

He told me Lauren was a guy, and did a whole spiel about men called Tracy etc (to be fair, Jess in my username is a boy) and I believed him! Or rather, I wanted to believe him. Oh. Dear. God. How we delude ourselves

The elaborate manipulations and lies. I don't understand why some guys do this. I suppose they get a kick out of "fooling" us. It makes the idiots appear smart (to themselves, if no-one else).

The thing is we're not fools or deluded. We believed them because it never occurred to us that a man professing to love us would tell us all these shitty lies. We're not stupid - we just believed they had integrity.

I'll never be 100% the trusting person I used to be. Maybe that's a good thing.

It wouldn't surprise me at all though.

If there's one thing I'd change about my life if I could do it over, it would be to have emigrated to live in a better climate.

What Does you Mum know her cake is going to be purple? Is that her favourite colour? This reminded me of being asked by my mother every year, as a child, what colour I wanted my birthday cake to be and immediately, and invariably, saying "pink".

Disclaimer - I never once made a birthday cake for my offspring, always ordering them from the fancy celebration cake shop instead. That way, my daughter got her Mr Men cake, my son got his Star Wars cake etc and I just lit the candles and took the (always impressive) photo!
