posh/ pretentious boys names ?!

Looking for help with 'snobby' boys names ! Apparently that's the type my OH and I like! We like Hugo & Leonard atm but really want something we Love, have nine weeks left,
would really appreciate any suggestions :)

I used to know a Fergus who was a bit posh.

I went to school in the 70s with a Gulliver and a Titus! Not even a posh school, just and inner city primary.

I have a dog called Digby.

I rather like Bertie and Rupert.

Both my DS's names are mentioned here.

We are not posh!

I would give the top poshness vote to: Jasper, Hugh/Hugo, Caspian, Jonty, Jolyon, Rupert. The Jolyon we know goes by the NN Joel FWIW.

At nursery we had a Maximillian and his mother insisted it must never be shortened. They were not posh. At all.

The truly posh men I know are Harvey, Hugh, Charles, Benedict.

Totally outs myself here but if you want something posh sounding and very different my Granddad had the biblical middle name of Parmenus (and wasn't posh at all, just very well respected and loved by all ages - I miss him)

Interesting thread, if I wasn't on maternity leave I'm sure I could trawl our directory at work and find you a few - it is the only place I have met people called Crispin, Jolyon, St John and Giles though the latter are so plentiful
at work I can't figure out if it was a fashion I/my family misses.

No-one has said Alois yet (pronounced Al - oh - eece).

It's one on my list of boys names I'd quite like to use but not sure I'd have the guts.

Gideon is a terrible name, he spends too long hanging around in hotel rooms hoping for some attention.

If you call him Rupert, he can never join the army.

Why give them proper pretentious names then call them things like Leo? You have to use pretentious names!
