Torin Aiden Inigo was always my choice had we had a boy. Fortunately for him, it never happened.

ZOMBIE THREAD

The baby is nearly now!!

PooWillyBumBum · 09/07/2019 22:05

Hamilton Bentley is nice I think this sounds the opposite of posh!

The “posh” boys at uni (from Eton, Charterhouse and the like) all had pretty standard names like Charlie, Ed and Ben (maybe with a middle family name like Grehan thrown in for good measure) although DD’s best friend’s brother is at Eton and he’s a Hugo.

Nearly 3 now

I once taught little boy called Quartermaine...

Jude Bentley is nice.

Albert "Bertie" Bentley is totally posh.

Harrison. A wussy name

LadyRannaldini · 10/07/2019 11:04

Didn't MN years ago have a section where you could input your baby's potential name and it would tell you their future job, shopping habits etc.?
As the post is 'posh' bashing, can we also have a list of dead common, plebby names or is that considered belittling?

Tighnabruaich · 10/07/2019 11:06

Sholto

We live in one of "those" areas where posh names abound. My son's at nursery with a couple of Otto's, a Hugo, lots of George's, an Oscar and I've recently met an Atlas. I'll leave that one with you.

LadyRannaldini · 10/07/2019 11:13

Whatever you choose make sure you can spell it! I never knew that there were so many 'spellings' of Siobhan, Niamh etc, people hear names on the TV etc but never see them written down.
A friend was registering a new child into her Infant school, he was introduced by his mother as Gooey, interesting thought friend, maybe a Disney fan who can't spell Goofy. One the mother had completed the form my friend realised he was Guy!
I used to have problems with Jesus, teaching in the Med.
