I was pregnant with DC1 and attended the watch night carol service at our local church.I had to make a quick exit halfway through one of the carols due to morning ,noon and night sickness.I didn’t make it out of the church grounds and ended up being sick on what I thought was a grass verge( it was dark,no lights). It turned out I actually vomitted on a (very old) grave with a flat headstone on the ground.Oh the shame !

I was 12 and on a family holiday in Antigua - which in those days nobody had heard of 😁.

29 years ago today my parents had just split up for good and were on the brink of a hideous divorce.

I was 25 and just about to move into house with fiancé (end of Jan) our wedding was booked for April
It was all full of promise
We went on to have 2 DC and then he cheated on me with OW - by 35 I was a lone parent - divorced - disabled - depressed - broke
I’m now 55 and have no money but a great career, amazing DC, lots of friends, travel as much as I can and am very well known and respected in my profession

I was at about 2.5-3 months gestation and my parents were making the final arrangements for their quickly planned between-Christmas-and-New Year wedding Grin, and celebrating DGMs Xmas Eve birthday.

This year I'm about 29.5 years old and I've just checked my card & present for parents 30th anniversary are still safe in their hiding place. Earlier we said a quiet memorial happy birthday for DGM, it's our 3rd one without her, she would have turned 98 today.

AwakeAmbs · 25/12/2019 00:04
