To be bloody proud of myself!

I haven't worked in about 7 years and recently managed to get a job close to my field in the NHS where I know I can work my way up again.

My family are shit and don't care...not even a "good luck" or "well done".., but I'm so proud of myself. I have 3 kids, and managed to negotiate hours that suit me and my family life. I have so many opportunities ahead of me now.

Just finished my first full week and feel great! I never thought I'd be capable of working again or if anyone would hire "someone like me".

Thank you everyone Grin. I've only been able to share how happy I am with dh, but I think he's getting a bit bored now!

Years at home left me with my confidence shattered but I think it'll hopefully rebuild itself.

Very well done indeed - seven years out and to get back in plus feel so positive - you must be very good at what you do!! As for the "someone like you" - you sound an ideal employee.
