I Know its a Failonline like but please read.

The food can't be healthy and looks like vomit. Why would one want to live like this. I understand that people are on budgets but I think I would rather starve.

I honestly don't get this frugal lifestyle you only live one life if you have the money spend it on living comfortable you could be dead tomorrow.

I think it's a bit classist to say that this is a depressing lifestyle.

Also, you say that if you have money spend it on comfortable living? Well, what if this is comfortable for her? What if she enjoys this and it's what makes her feel herself? It's not only classist to say that people who have come from poverty are weird for enjoying the food that they've become accustomed to, but is also just plain bitchy.

I am probably one of the fussiest eaters on the planet with my various hang ups and 'ishoos' aorund food.. and yet I would eat almost all of whats on her menu and if not enjoy all of it as my ultimate favourite foods, I wouldn't have any problems.

Veg, pulses, flavourings - filling and tasty - not sure i would do with as little protein as she does but if you are skint, filling and tasty is the first priority!

I used to live off 50p a day. Yes, it was depressing and I would given anything for a nice piece of fresh chicken or some steak instead of rice, beans and frozen veg day in day out....BUT, I soon learnt how to be creative with food and it gave me so much more confidence. Sometimes you just have to make the best of things, and I think this lady has the right attitude. No doubt her recipes will help others who are struggling.
