I haven't read anything good for ages.
I like autobiographical, some historical, I do like psychological thrillers. I liked The Girl on The Train. I like Louise Candlish.
I'm not keen on chick lit. I don't like a happy ending.

I loved the book thief - it was fantastic. I also liked Room, The fault in our stars and The beach

Perfect people by Peter James...its brilliant!

I don't normally like fiction but I couldn't put down The Rotters' Club and the sequel, The Closed Circle.

If you like psychological thrillers try Mark Edwards - The Magpies and Follow You Home are fab, I read each in a 24 hour period on holiday! His collaborations with Louise Voss are pretty good. I'd also recommend anything by Lulu Taylor, starting with Midnight Girls.

The Life of Pi - i literally couldn't put it down, I walked around the house reading it. So unusual and surprising.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy is good.

I haven't read anything good for ages either, I'll be watching this thread with interest.

The kite runner by Khalid Hosseini.

I loved A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. A fairly short book but I was completely gripped!

Also The Play date by ? Rachel Millar and Cuckoo (can't remember the author but it's always coming up on kindle searches for thrillers)

I loved the Flowers in the Attic series by Virginia Andrews.
Also a classic and I always enjoy it when I reread it is To Kill A Mockingbird.
Some of Jodi Picoult is ok but if you read a few you could probably predict the ending after a chapter or two, I started to find them a bit samey.

The most recent one I couldn't put down was The Girl With All The Gifts by M R Carey.
Absolutely loved it.
