He already RUINED EDUCATION, is he really bigheaded enough to think that he will be a good Prime Minister?

He is. And yes it would be a disaster. Apart from education it's important to remember that this is the man who wrote a book on privatising the nhs.

iisme · 03/07/2016 08:00

If he's the one leading the Brexit negotiations, we're totally screwed. Actually, we're totally screwed if he has any kind of authority at all (see education). I loathe and despise Theresa May but would prefer her a hundred times over ...

The best thay can be said about Gove is that he is not Boris, but just a reminder that Cameron unleashed IDS on us and Blair launched an illegal, immoral war that lead to the deaths of thousands of people. I think we've already hit disaster tbh.

What is going wrong in our system that all our options are so unappealing?

Here's why

There's a story on FB about him going into a class of 8 year olds and asking what was funny about Hitler. Bemused faces from the class as they knew there was nothing funny about Hitler, then he stuck his finger under his nose and goose stepped around the room.

Does anyone want someone so crass to be this country's next PM.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 03/07/2016 09:05

Well, for a start, every teacher would probably leave the country so education would become even more of a shambles...

Squeegle · 03/07/2016 09:06

It won't happen though will it? He hasn't got much support has he?

Witchend · 03/07/2016 09:10

Well other than, does anyone really believe fb stories... Oh yrs, it's that sort of thing that got us into this mess in the first place.

The line up is a bit like a line up in the dock. I think they all have major issues as leader. Except Angela whatsit, I haven't heard of her before so I assume she hasn't done anything spectacularly stupid. Oh yes, but that means she hasn't really shown leadership qualities either. Oh and she's backed by that idiot from the 80s...

Come back Cameron all is forgiven eh? (not a fan of him either...)

ForalltheSaints · 03/07/2016 10:00

I expect the Tory MPs will prevent that happening.

libertydoddle · 03/07/2016 10:05

Have just watched him on the Andrew Marr show. Dangerous ideologue. He made me shiver. He would be a very poor negotiator for Brexit as he is incapable of compromise or pragmatism.

Margrethe · 03/07/2016 10:16

I didn't want Boris, and I don't want Gove. It looks like it might shape up to be May vs. Leadsom which are better options than I imagined just a week ago.

3amEternal · 03/07/2016 10:20

I don't think he'll do well. He comes across as a maniac.

IthinkIamsinking · 03/07/2016 10:24

Will never happen

LaurieMarlow · 03/07/2016 10:28

I can't see it. The Tories know how unpopular he is surely. I can imagine riots in the streets if we were ruled by that man.

I never thought I'd say this, but Theresa May looking like a very attractive choice.

BigChocFrenzy · 03/07/2016 10:38

"Theresa May looking like a very attractive choice"

Yes, shows how abysmal the choices are, when that phrase actually looks reasonable.

GoblinLittleOwl · 03/07/2016 10:46

I think he is an absolute disaster(see Education) and will continue to be so. As for stating he is a man of principle, you can see his nose grow.
If he genuinely believed Boris to be unsuitable, he should have told him he was removing his support, and stood against him for a fair fight.
One can only hope that the same fate befalls him as befell Brutus.

HandInGove · 03/07/2016 10:48

YANBU.
Gove has already fucked up education why would we possibly let him loose on our whole country when it's at been brought to such a vulnerable point thanks to Cameron's referendum?. I was staggered by the arrogance of Gove standing as leader at all. Gove describing himself as the principled candidate... words fail.

NameChanger22 · 03/07/2016 10:49

It's inevitable. I really hope people aren't pinning their wishes on him.

OhGoveUckYourself · 03/07/2016 10:54

I can honestly find nothing positive to say about the man. He even makes other nasty, self-serving Tories look good. That is how bad he is!!!

TendonQueen · 03/07/2016 10:57

He seems to genuinely believe he is always right about everything and knows more about everything than anyone else, even 'experts'. Hmm And people like that are incredibly dangerous. I will be very concerned if he becomes PM.

TheDuchessOfArbroathsHat · 03/07/2016 10:57

Disaster WILL happen. For a start he could unleash those aubergine bollocks on an unsuspecting world. Then you'll all know what disaster is Grin

Mellifera · 03/07/2016 11:00

YNBU. He acts like a psychopath.
