AIBU or is "Well Done" an inappropriate thing to say re pregnancy

Well Done just seems wrong to me. It felt like they were saying "Well Done" for having sex!

Should have read 'BUT FOR' some women.

Both times we announced my pregnancy, MIL said "Clever girl!", which really annoyed me. As if I sort of schemed myself pregnant. But I may be oversensitive.

Currently preg gers and people may have said this to me... don't care really so long as it's meant positively.

The squeals of joy 'well dones' when I tell people it's a boy however....
