to think Nicola Sturgeon should be tried for treason?

anAlienInUK · 25/06/2016 20:58

For continuing attempts to break up the UK?

Admittedly I don't know the law regarding treason exactly, but suspect she hasn't actually done anything illegal? But why is it ok to try to continuously break the country apart?

(Have namechanged as am expecting to get slaughtered)

Louisa "hard faced"? Hmm

I shouldn't think that her looks or lack thereof make much difference to her competency at her job...

GiddyGiddyGoat · 26/06/2016 00:29

She speaks highly of you no doubt Louisa...

BearFoxBear · 26/06/2016 00:32

God forbid a woman should be a competent politician, she's forever doomed to be insulted and denigrated by the less competent.

CantAffordtoLive · 26/06/2016 00:37

Does Scotland Understand EU Membership
Will Cost Them £350 Million Per Week Membership
Fee? UK will NOT pay for this. Also, they will have to
pay for their own Army, Navy & Air Force to be in EU.
UK will not supply this to an Independent Scotland.

I suspect the EU won't last more than a few years anyway and then Scotland will want to come crawling back.

louisagradgrind · 26/06/2016 00:37

Do you think she is competent? Gosh!

I meant 'hard faced' as in 'brass necked' but now you have drawn my attention to her actual face and I've googled her picture as a result... yes, I can see what you mean.

Giddy, I don't give two fucks what she thinks of views like mine, I imagine she is too hard faced to care.

TwoLittleBlooms · 26/06/2016 00:37

Grin Edmund

Yabbadabbo2 · 26/06/2016 00:39

She fits in greatly with anyone who loves the EU. Keep asking the same question until you get the answer you want.

BearFoxBear · 26/06/2016 00:41

Louise I worked with her, so yes, I know that she is.

louisagradgrind · 26/06/2016 00:42

Yes, I've worked with her and I know that she isn't.

BearFoxBear · 26/06/2016 00:45

Then I call stalematestalemate.

BearFoxBear · 26/06/2016 00:45

Or just stalemate even, stupid phone.

louisagradgrind · 26/06/2016 00:46

Of course I haven't worked with her.

But Bear, I say that to demonstrate just how easy it is to lie on the internet and that just because someone says they know someone doesn't mean, that they are to be believed.

This may be breaking news to some innocent souls.

BearFoxBear · 26/06/2016 00:52

Point taken, however as I'm not a sad, pathetic troll, I tell the truth. I'm proud of Scotland right now.

Duck90 · 26/06/2016 01:00

Not that it matters at all, but I don't think NS looks hard faced or lacking in looks. Obviously only the beautiful (in people's opinion) can have something relevant to say.

speccy900 · 26/06/2016 01:00

OP - going by your logic should the official Vote No camp from the 2014 Scottish Referendum be taken to task over election fraud?

Many Scottish people at that time voted to remain the UK based on cries that the country would lose its place in the EU if it went it independent. Now, we've been dragged out of the EU anyway, against the majority's will.

Just a thought.

Tabsicle · 26/06/2016 01:00

Wow. Lot of hate for Nicola tonight. Surely she's just doing her job? She was elected on a specific manifesto that basically included calling for a second referendum if there was a material change in circumstances. There has been a material change of circumstances. So she is calling for a new referendum.

I mean, I know a politician sticking to their promises is kinda weird...

speccy900 · 26/06/2016 01:03

Sorry, realise that's not 'election fraud' as such, but the EU argument during the Scottish referendum (which was used to frighten people into voting No in 2024) undeniably had a profound effect on the final result, and in my view the democratic process.

louisagradgrind · 26/06/2016 01:04

That may be so Bear but it is worth reminding people that just because a poster says something-especially saying that they have personal information about a public individual-doesn't mean that it is true.

It could all be bollix.

speccy900 · 26/06/2016 01:04

Haha *2014 dammit!! At this rate who knows what will happen in 2024!

Alisvolatpropiis · 26/06/2016 01:04

Don't be so ridiculous

BearFoxBear · 26/06/2016 01:17

I don't think that personal information comes into it though Louisa, she's competent. Anyone can see that. Juxtapose her public appearances with Boris' over the past few days: she is composed, forthright and determined to upload the democratic will of the Scottish electorate. Boris on the other hand is clearly shitting himself because his self promotional stunt succeeded/failed and now he's ultimately screwed himself. I know who inspires between the two, and hard faced or not, Nicola Sturgeon is what I want from the leader of my country.

louisagradgrind · 26/06/2016 01:30

She's efficient and she has a clear, if inflated, sense of her own importance and image.

I don't think her mind is razor sharp but maybe it doesn't need to be as she aims her 'Braveheart' image at all those who fondly imagine they are in the Land of the Free.

I don't think Boris is 'shitting himself'. That is just a rumour from the same stable who are putting it about that millions regret their Leave vote.

Anyway, hopefully NS will get her ambition and piss away off. We may then of course, really see what it looks like when a politician shits themselves. What larks!

BearFoxBear · 26/06/2016 01:37

Braveheart? Lazy debating that, and insulting, but I don't feel the need to rise to the bait. I'm secure enough.

beetroot2 · 26/06/2016 01:38

Chop off her head Grin

louisagradgrind · 26/06/2016 01:43

Jolly good, BearFoxBear. I am glad that you're secure.
Night night.
