Not only has My husband bought me a nice present and flowers, we are going out with the kids to a restaurant with a children's play area. AIBU to think it would be lovely for Mumsnetters to fill Mumsnet with a bit of happiness today.

Angie is that the Frida's Flowers CAL? It is beautiful.

I should maybe think about stepping away from the keyboard as I'm now on my third glass of champers!

Junosmum · 25/06/2016 20:31

Today we sorted out the loft and took the crap to the tip.

We are a divided household so have to take our positives as they come!

Dd had her 4th birthday party and I got to decorate her party room in pink princess style. It was so much fun and so so pretty.

She spent all day running around with a doll in a baby carrier beaming away.

Was a great day

We're on our first family holiday (aka mini-break) just the three of us. I took DS (10 months) swimming for only the second time ever - and this time, he loved it! Took a bit of getting used to but when the wave machine came on, I thought he was going to explode with excitement Grin. Cheered me up no end!

BeaLola · 25/06/2016 20:48

Lovely thread.

Having our second child free night in a row since now 8 year old DS arrived for us to adopt in 2012. Having Chinese :-)

DS is at his first Cub camp - I really miss him though !

Angiefernackerpan · 25/06/2016 20:51

Woolly yes it is. I'm planning on doing the Lilypond one next.

Lovely thread! Took DS and DD swimming today as a treat for DS finding his feet at his new school. Wonderful to see them happy and splashing about together like they didn't have a care I'm the world - it's been tough times recently

goodiegoodieyumyum · 25/06/2016 22:08

Mrs it's hard when they change school isn't it. My DD had to change school and DS go from starting school to going to Kindergarten in a new country in January this year, they are both doing so well, my DS has started coming home and telling me telling me German words. words.

We have just finished watching Forrest Gump, I am a little tipsy from the champagne so I think it is bed time for me after a lovely day.

Can I add another?

Me and DH decided to visit MiL who lives around 45 mins away from where he's working.
1- MIL is lovely and very excited to see us
And 2 - we've spent a lovely afternoon making more work helping with her ducks, horses, chickens and dogs Smile

Happy anniversary WineWineWine
It's me and my boyfriends anniversary in a few days so we went out for a meal today. We've been together for three years. We went to Chiquitos mmmmmmmm so nice!

2ndSopranosRule · 25/06/2016 22:27

It's our wedding anniversary today too!

We both had the day off work yesterday and had a fab child free lunch. Dh bought me some really beautiful diamond earrings.

We ate our favourite comfort lunch today all four of us (sandwiches and tomato soup...) and dh made a decent spag bol later. We had some garlic doughballs as a treat which seems to have made the dds' day!

Having lunch with some girlfriends tomorrow which I'm very much looking forward to. Not least because this time last year I was having a horrible struggle with anxiety and depression and eating out was something I couldn't cope with. I've come far in 12 months.

Tamesa · 25/06/2016 22:30

Walked dd3 (5years) to a play date, about a mile. We talked about the size of fairies, her special talents and her birthday. It was lovely.
Forrest Gump is ds favourite movie .... Sounds like a perfect day

AvaLeStrange · 25/06/2016 22:31

Happy anniversary OP.

DD (11) and I have had a lovely day making our own face masks, soap, body scrub, lip balm & bath bombs, then we went to the cinema and out for dinner.

Currently both chilling out watching TV & t'internetting in my lovely new bed!

Favouritethings · 25/06/2016 22:40

Went on a lovely family walk this evening, got caught in a huge downpour of rain but we didn't mind!
Back home, out of wet clothes and into pjs. Dh then made enchiladas for dinner Smile
Happy days!

My daughter said she feels sorry for her friends who don't have a mum like me. She said that she knows whatever mess she gets in she knows that one phone call and I will be there and that I won't judge her. It is quite possibly the nicest thing I have ever heard.

Her teenage years were horrendous, our relationship totally broke down. Now we couldn't be closer. She is

23jumpstreet · 25/06/2016 23:15

Lovely post op, it's my birthday and my sister and mum brought flowers and chocolates, feeling happy.

dillydotty · 25/06/2016 23:20

Posted too early!

She is an amazing, strong, clever young woman. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful daughter.
