Some people need to give their head a wobble and honestly grow the fuck up and stop throwing their toys out the pram.

I understand people are upset and even angry the way the referendum went, however that does not give anyone the right to be vile and abusive!

It's completely unacceptable to tell someone they need "opt out of life" Angry because they choose there democratic right not to vote!

I am ashamed to be apart of this forum today!

MN admin shoud be ashamed of themselves, talk guidelines being broken left right and centre and you're no where to be seen!

Grow the fuck up and stop being unpleasant nasty fuckers! I very rarely swear but this place sickens me to the core of my stomach today!

I am getting so many negative comments from ppl around me.

You then have to wonder where the problem lies.
Dictatorship?
Wait until Farage gets a wiff of power.

Surferjet · 25/06/2016 10:02

The 'you're just a thick white racist' thing is a complete joke, not least because many of the Leave' commentators/supporters I've seen on TV are Asian & black.

JudyCoolibar · 25/06/2016 10:05

Way to go with the silly generalisations, KittyLaRoux. Many, many people are not abusing Leave voters but they are expressing their major worries about the situation that has been brought about by that vote. It is so, so noticeable that people like you, OP and SemiNormal simply aren't addressing that fact, and you certainly aren't addressing the fact that people who are looking at losing their jobs as a direct result of the vote are entitled to be upset.

JudyCoolibar · 25/06/2016 10:06

SurferJet, do you know of any thick racists who voted Remain?

MsJamieFraser · 25/06/2016 10:08

Just, have you even read my posts, because I have not said who I voted for, for all anyone on here know that I voted but spoilt my vote, because it makes no difference now, the result is in. If you'd have even read the thread due to the referendum my sister was made redundant with immediate effect and her husband also was given his notice of redundancy, he knew this would be happening if Leave won so it was not unexpected.

I have disagreed with the abuse people have received, I understand it's troubling times ahead, but no one knows what is ahead for Britain! It can be bad, it can be good, it could be relatively be unchanged, no one knows but being abusive is just not accepted, it should even be till orated buy apparently they angry so that makes it all OK Hmm

People on MN have already spoken about losing their jobs/pulling out of house sales/feeling unwelcome in UK. Their lives have been turned upside down because Sun and Daily Mail readers got their way. Democracy eh?

The anger will get worse when the realities hit home.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 25/06/2016 10:13

Bullying? because I said don't log on if the current climate on here is pissing the OP off.

Don't be so ridiculous!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 25/06/2016 10:14

That was to Purits.

Surferjet · 25/06/2016 10:15

No, because no one I know is thick or racist.
My friends/family are black, white, gay, straight, labour, Tory, old, & young.
The ones that voted leave just didn't want to be part of the EU anymore - that's it.
I've got one or two quite wealthy family members who voted remain for their own reasons ( money )

Definition of Racist Incident. The Macpherson Report defined a racist incident as “any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person”.

By the same token, any incident which is perceived to be bullying by the victim is bullying.
Saying nasty things and, when being called on it, saying "get off my site if you don't like it" is bullying.

Bullying and harassment means any unwanted behaviour that makes someone feel intimidated, degraded, humiliated or offended. It is not necessarily always obvious or apparent to others, and may happen in the workplace without an employer's awareness.

Some of you Remainers are not as enlightened as you would like to think.

BaboonBottom · 25/06/2016 10:23

floppity did you actually just put that?! What a racist vile post

[Message from MNHQ - just to let everyone know, Floppity did in fact get in touch within seconds of posting to apologise profusely and ask if we could take her post down. She'd posted in the heat of the moment and was extremely ashamed of what she'd said. She's asked if we can deregister her account.]

WappersReturns · 25/06/2016 10:23

People have been losing their jobs and businesses for years, just not the right kind of people.
I'm not at a loss as to why remainers are so angry, it's exactly the reason that people like me have been so angry for so long. The EU crippled my industry and those of many like me. While city workers were getting rights on top of rights and leave and holiday pay, we were forced to fight our way through crippling red tape, undercut at every turn and made reliant on subsidies that we qualified for if we wrecked our own business prospects, property and land.

Nobody gave a shit. Now that the shiny offices are at risk all of a sudden it's a crisis. I feel for anyone whose job is at risk, I really do and I hope whatever happens next isn't disastrous for anybody but yours are shoes I've walked in for years. I voted in the way that made sense for my family, it's utterly shameful that I've been called racist, ignorant, thick, xenophobic and many other awful things because of that.
I'm as left as it gets. I have marched against fascism and spent my entire adult life strongly opposing bigotry. Only to have been kicked out of the club because I deviated from the party line. I'm gutted to be honest. I've never felt so disconnected from a community I thought I knew.

Helmetbymidnight · 25/06/2016 10:24

I can assure you most remainders don't feel smug.
Sick? Yes
Smug, not at all.

Life is shit for a lot of people, it's got shitter over the last ten years without any sign of it getting better. In fact, it feels like it's getting worse, with no hope of a decent job / university / houses /NHS for some people's children.

To be disgusted by MN!
AnotherTimeMaybe · 25/06/2016 10:40

OP I'm with you..... Although I'm furious with the result as I'm Greek (although married to a Brit), know of a few British pensioners living in Greece, also possibly under redundancy soon have to look for new job etc etc etc very unsettled at the moment ..... But still no excuse for abuse...
I don't know how the hell we will get out of this, these times I wish against democracy against the people's voice.. But abuse in forums where you go for support or a rant is too disgusting

Is that what she said? Crikey.

MangoMoon · 25/06/2016 10:44

most of the aggression is coming from the Leave side.

Confused Ok then...
MangoMoon · 25/06/2016 10:49

I didn't vote because my vote doesn't matter (I'm in Scotland)

Are you for real.

What part of 'Every Single Vote Counted' did you miss in the run up to this?

MsJamieFraser · 25/06/2016 10:49

Someone up thread said about my poorly written OP, I am well aware I have poor written English, I'm dyslexic you see and at home I don't have my aids and currently using my iPhone send these posts, between fighting predictive writing [hnm] and trying to see my errors, for me as long as they are readable, I'm happy, cause trust me they could be worse -Grin thought I should clarify this.

AnotherTimeMaybe · 25/06/2016 10:59

Why would someone mention OP's poor written English? What does this have to do with the thread? Has the world gone mad? Hmm
