I absolutely believe the NHS will be gone within 5 years if we leave. Particularly if boris or gove is the next pm.

With TTIP the NHS will go. Cameron wants the NHS gone.

I really don't understand why people want to "save" the NHS by voting leave - the NHS relies on foreign workers and th only people who have tried to systematically dismantle the NHS are the tories. Genuinely confused when the NHS is given as a reason!

TTIP has been fought from inside the EU very successfully over the last few years. The EU has much better bargaining powers as a large trading bloc which is why it is able to do this. If you want to fight TTIP vote for MEPs who are anti-TTIP rather than voting Leave and making our country smaller and more vulnerable.

There's no point voting for MEPs, they have no power anyway.

If it's Leave, DH and 1000 of his colleagues will lose their jobs by the end of the year. They work for an Asian company which hasn't done very well in the last 3 years. If Britain opts to leave the EU, the company will wind up its European business or move to a smaller operation elsewhere.

I'm European, not British. Been here for 12 years and my children have British passports. I know it's not personal, but it feels personal when it's our family on the line.

I believe the NHS is sustainable - with a govt who are interested in preserving it. Under the current one - who knows?

Yes it is a democracy it does have some unelected officials but they cannot make laws without the MEPs debating andvoting on them, similar to the role of civial servants in our houses of parliament. We also have the House of Lords in the UK who aren't elected either but have been the voice of morality many times, including fighting against our government to protect poor people repeatedly over the last few years. Unelected officials have their place in any democracy.

Yes MEPs absolutely do have power. Unfortunately the UKs power as a country has been hampered by idiot MEPs like Farage who take seats on fishery panels and then don't turn up and vote for the UKs interests.

I'm voting remain. Either way, everyone is so strongly divided now and I think that it's very sad.

There's been so much scaremongering from both sides that I think many people fear a doom for this country that won't come.

But I've seen so many real stories and posts from people who WILL suffer in the event of a Brexit - eg their custom has already dropped, their stocks have already fallen, their company will relocate.

The Health and Social Care Act to privatise the NHS was passed in 2012 by the ConDem coalition, after Labour had been making moves towards something similar for years.

Particularly around the centenary of the welfare state in 2011 there was speech after speech by politicians of the main parties about their intention to trash the NHS.

And then the current government slashed social care, which is not so much the straw as the hay stack that broke the camel's back.

And yet here we are, blaming staying in / leaving the EU for the collapse of the NHS which we're already living through.

Whatever the referendum result, the collapse will continue. But now whichever side loses, they'll blame the EU or each other.

Great for the British politicians responsible for the collapse, playing "Look over there." Pretty shit if we don't want a nation full of hate and scapegoating, as well as pretty shit that we're losing a functioning NHS.

The eu is the only safeguard we have against our own government.the reason we have such an awful government, or series of them, is our own apathy in general elections. The ire and anger is being pointed at the wrong organisation.
