What dress size are you?

I've just been reading Closer (hmm) and amazed by the celebrities who are 5'6'', 9 1/2 stone, and size 8.
I don't understand. I'm this height and weight and a 12, have always been a 12, and an 8 wouldn't go anywhere near me, top or bottom.
Is it possible to be the same height and weight but such different sizes?
I'm very happy as a 12, just baffled.

I'm always 1 or 2 sizes bigger on my lower half.

Have an ass that just won't stop...

5'3", 11st, size 12/14. When I was bfing and a stone+ lighter, was still a 12, but a small one. I have big boobs and am apple-shaped so I'd need to be seriously underweight to reach the giddy heights of size 10!

I am 5ft tall and 10st - I am a size 10-12 with large boobs and hips and small waist. I do have a bit of a tummy after having the kids but am working on toning up all over to be a more comfortable size10. I am a work in progress

I'm 5ft, weigh 6st 10lb, as for size well I've no idea what my true size is. But going on clothing in today's market would be a 4-6 , i do have some tops in an 8.
I tend stick to a 6 although in some shops they don't even touch the sides so no option for anything smaller so don't bother buying.
I struggle with jeans especially and it pisses me off that sizes are not consistent. I can often be found in the children's clothing aisles, even then I can have the same problem, 2 items both same size one fits one too big!😁😁😁
So quite possible to be same height and weight as someone else but totally different size. I put that mainly down to inconsistent clothing sizes first and foremost, then differing build, body shape muscle mass etc.

Then there is the small minority that are in total denial about there actual size and get too hung up on labels so don't always tell the truth.

I'm 5 ft 7 and at my heaviest I weighed 17st and wore a size 18. I'm now down to 15 st 2lbs and wear a 16 top and bottom. I have large breasts, very small waist, chunky thighs and a big arse. I weighed 13 st as a size 10.

5'10" and when not pregnant am steady at 9st7lbs, give or take a lb or 2. BMI 19 something. Never been under a size 10 in my life. All my clothes are either 10 or 12. I am very, very curvy - DD boobs (currently an FF, thanks pregnancy!), measurements 35-27-35. Size 8s have no chance against my boobs or hips!

When I was 10 stone I wore size 10-12 depending on shop. I'm 5'6"

At 5ft 6 and 9 and a 1/2 stone I was a size 4-6.

At 12 stone I'm a 12 .

I had a similar conversation in work the other week. I'm 5' 7" 8st 5lb and a size 10 at a squeeze. I've got a small frame, 30B chest (thanks to MN intervention, was wearing 34AA for years) and hate my podgy middle.

I'm 5'6'. Almost 11 stone. Size 10.
My mum is also 5'6'', weighs just a few pounds more and is size 16.

Difference is that I lift weights.
