I'm quite prepared to be flamed over this, but I can't be the only one to think that there is something really off about her? She is really milking his new found fame for all it's worth, desperately trying to turn herself into the new Victoria Beckham/Coleen Rooney. First it was the newspaper interviews, then the lingerie shoot, followed by the big OK wedding spread.

Now very conveniently she was caught up in all the trouble between England and Russia fans over the weekend and ended up getting tear gassed. Managing to get her face on the front pages of course, and this morning I woke up to see her being interviewed via satellite on Good Morning Britain about her terrible experience, looking all serious. I thought it was just me, but you could tell from the way he was questioning her that Piers Morgan also thought she was talking complete bollocks.

Now I know she's not the first woman to use her footballing husbands fame to boost her own career prospects but he's apparently estranged from his entire family, parents and grandparents because they dislike her and they didn't attend the wedding. Then you hear that she has form for selling kiss and tell stories going back years, I can't help but think that she's been waiting her whole life for this gravy train to arrive.

Am I just being a massive bitch here?

Rebekah Vardy really shouldn't have brought this case, her own admissions during cross-examination have firmly implicated herself.

Turns out you were right OP! The trial is utterly ridiculous, l they all look like a bunch of massive twats, but RV in particular!

Oh this has aged so well!

I hate the DM but I still look at it. It does leave me feeling a bit sick though, so hateful. There are lots of stories I can’t bring myself to read (anything by Piers Morgan, anything about Meghan Markle, anything with BJ in it, anything containing the word “woke”, anything by the female columnists who seem to be the most extreme examples of internalised misogyny on the planet) but I do weirdly follow the murder stories and have a grudging respect for the extensive coverage of male on female violence. It’s one of those weird times when the far right and the far left actually find something in common. I know they run the stories for the clicks and that there is a pornographic bent to it with them focusing on more beautiful and teenage women, but at least it’s coverage of the EPIDEMIC of gendered violence.
