Did they complete your family or send it into chaos?!

Also I'm 36 (almost) 37 and dh is 42, honestly and no need to be pc would you raise an eyebrow at our ages?

I just see our house with 3 dc and I know for sure I'll be done then!

Dh not opposed but life is very easy at the minute.

Dc 1 and 3 if that's relevant!

I can't stop looking at him. I struggled with my first 2 as babies (now 4 and 6) but I adore having a baby which I haven't felt before!
I'm so glad we went ahead with having him.
Also knowing there will be no more after him makes me appreciate him a bit more I think! (He's 4 weeks old)

I'm 39 and have a 3.9 and 1.9 yo and am expecting dc3 in sept/October. So I can't answer your question yet. (Apart from the age thing which I think is fine)

But our lives are chaos already, the house is always an explosion in a toy factory. So we thought how much worse can a 3rd be? I am a sahm and have no plans to ever go back to work so it has no bearing on that. We even are talking about a 4th, but obviously will see how this goes. Our 2 are quite high needs as well ds1 has asd and ds2 hasn't slept longer than 3hrs since birth, so it's not like we have easy children already. We know it'll be hard. It feels right for us. (Also we can afford a cleaner and an au pair!)

I adore our third
We didn't descend into chaos but he didn't complete our family either as we are expecting a fourth

TWOBANANAS · 13/06/2016 15:27

Best thing ever.

Yes our third completes our family - but as another poster has said, has used up our reserves (through a combination of reflux, bad sleeping and an iron clad will on his part)! He's delightful and funny and sweet and loves his brothers who play nicely with him and has so many good points I'm glad we had him. I was 37 when I had him (DH 39) and his brothers were 4 and 7 - they are now nearly 3, 7 and 10. Life can be chaotic and juggling stuff for the 3 year old with the other 2 can be hard - but I have no regrets.

Notbigandnotclever · 13/06/2016 16:26

My DC3 causes chaos but he's awesome. 6 years old and utterly fab.

Same here. The others are 11 and 9. He's a fantastic breath of fresh air amongst all the hormone craziness right now!

DS3 was/is the most laid back baby/boy/teenager, placid and kind , like his two older brothers.

He fitted in just like it was meant to be, Smile.
