To think it's grim and lazy to piss in the shower

Inspired by another thread but not a TAAT.

I'm surprised how many people think it's OK and actually do it themselves.

OP posts:
Oldraver · 07/06/2016 17:00

I always pee in the shower and try and aim over my toes....dont always suceed

SarfEast1cated · 07/06/2016 17:06

I think it's a bit gross tbh - wouldn't want the smell of stale wee wafting up from the plughole...

DozeyTwonk · 07/06/2016 17:10

whole family pissing in shower, nose blowing in shower, shaving in shower, long hair in shower. Then I have to clean out the shower trap......grim and slimy and hairy and pissy.

SarfEast1cated · 07/06/2016 17:11

OMG Dozey sounds awful!

minipie · 07/06/2016 17:13

Cleaning out the shower trap is grim even if there's only hair and soap in there...

rollonthesummer · 07/06/2016 17:13

look after rental properties and holiday lets, I can always tell when people wee in the shower regularly because it leaves the grout and mastic slightly discoloured - a slight orangey colour. Of course it cleans off with good scrub with various sprays and bleach, which are not so good for the environment!

Surely grout and mastick are above the shower tray but wee would be going straight into the shower tray and down the plug hole and not be touching the grout?

kerbys · 07/06/2016 17:18

Men might aim at the wall, rollon .

oliviaclottedcream · 07/06/2016 17:19

YABU It's the responsible thing to do. There was a huge drive in Brasil to get the public to do this a few years ago. As it is perfectly fine hygiene wise and it saves water.

BertrandRussell · 07/06/2016 17:26

"squoosh

I don't understand. Do you have a really light flow? Or does it just run down your legs?! Do you get it all over your towels?"

It may come as a shock to you, but a lot of women don't use tampons at all - in the shower or not!

MariposaUno · 07/06/2016 17:28

No real opinion on it but I'd hope the person cleaned it the shower/bath before I went in after them.

The save water thing can be saved in a toilet by not flushing after only a wee. After several maybe but not every time.

UmbongoUnchained · 07/06/2016 17:37

bertrand can you just go away please?

LineyReborn · 07/06/2016 17:44

Why must Bertrand go away? Confused

saffynool · 07/06/2016 17:47

bertrand can you just go away please?

??

whois · 07/06/2016 17:47

a slight orangey colour

Orange colour on grout is nothing to do with wee.

Um, sorry but that is NOT from urine, unless people are weeing in the shower when it's not turned on and letting it sit there. It's from general bacteria (from lots of sources, including from your toilet) and is called serratia. I drink about 3 litres of water a day so if I weed in your shower, my wee would be approximately the same colour as the water going down the plug.

geekymommy · 07/06/2016 17:52

Would your opinion change for people who live in places where water shortages are a thing, like California?

What about for pregnant women?

I think it's less gross than leaving an unflushed toilet with pee in it. That said, I only did this when I was pregnant. I'm not sure if I would if I lived in California now. Sitting on the toilet before my shower gives me a little extra time to wake up, and as a non-morning person I need that.

UmbongoUnchained · 07/06/2016 18:02

Because every time I post on a thread that she's on she just jumps on me and I've had enough of it. It's pathetic.

chipsandpeas · 07/06/2016 18:06

meh i do it usually all the time, i can pee straight before getting into the shower and yet my bladder still thinks it wants to go, think its the running water effect, i cant be arsed getting out the shower to pee

WhatEverZen · 07/06/2016 18:13

Who knew so many folk pee in the shower

Not judging but it would never even occur to me

LifeInJeneral · 07/06/2016 18:16

I actually consider weeing in the shower to be a "luxury wee" Blush (I have done ever since I had cystitis and the nurse recommend weeing in the shower to reduce the pain...but now it's just a lovely experience...)

BertrandRussell · 07/06/2016 18:17

"Because every time I post on a thread that she's on she just jumps on me and I've had enough of it. It's pathetic."

Just checked. 3 in the past 6 weeks. Gollywogs, voting and home alone child.

I didn't jump on you. I disagreed with you.

But hey ho. Not all women use tampons, you know!

disappoint15 · 07/06/2016 18:17

But there isn't a smell of stale wee from the plug hole because it is all washed away - you know, like when you flush the toilet.

And wee that is washed away with shower water is not turning anything in the shower orange or yellow. That's just general grime from soap etc

LineyReborn · 07/06/2016 18:20

umbongo, if you post opinions and beliefs on various threads, people will respond. Bertrand is probably speaking for quite a few people and maybe just gets in first?

For example, on this thread you wrote:

*UmbongoUnchained

What's the problem with brushing teeth on the shower?

I think peeing in the shower is revolting and if I found someone doing that in my shower they would not be invited back.
I don't even have words for the person who pees in the bath. I think baths are gross anyway but to be laying in your own piss....

Today 15:47 UmbongoUnchained

And surely you wear a tampon in the shower if you're on?!*

PortiaCastis · 07/06/2016 18:22

Yuk not something I'd do

UmbongoUnchained · 07/06/2016 18:24

bertrand yes that's just in the last 6 weeks. Just ignore me and I'll continue to ignore you.
