They came over after lunch and have spent the afternoon doing jobs around the house. MIL has done all the weeding and planted my pots. FIL has put DHs pull up bar up in the garage and has brought some screws round to fix our towel rail, which he's now fixing.

They won't even stay for dinner as they had a big lunch and we had to convince them to let us take them home as they were going to get the bus.

My DM, I kid you not, took a cat tin lid to scrape the lime scale from my toilet when house sitting one time. She did the same at my db's house. She told me how disgusting it was. I shook the Harpic in her face. I mean, come on!! I laughed hard, cos that's just ridiculous. She trims her ivy one leaf at a time, seriously then moans that it takes all day.

Serious question, why are things like the 'pull up bar', only ever for the DH?

Women benefit more from weight bearing exercises, than men do, as we age.

I have less than zero interest in the pull up bar. I can't even hang from the monkey bars in the park and that suits me fine. It is in the garage along with his wooden dummy and punch bag.

I have a cross trainer in the front room and walk the dog. That's more than enough exercise for me, thank you very much.

Surely this thread is a pisstake of people complaining about ILs who have done very little wrong and blowing it completely out of proportion not the people with genuinely nasty parents/ILs?
