Friend and I are going on holiday this weekend. She's just told me that she's working on the same day we're coming back. (So coming back on Wednesday, she's at work Wed night.) She's just dropped this on me and I'm now worrying about getting back on time (she starts at 7 and I'd been planning to leave at 1ish). It's a 300 mile trip! Am I being unreasonable to think shes not being very fair?

I didn't ask her in the car when we first set off because I was concentrating on finding the way home/dealing with traffic. She shuts down if you push too hard and to be honest, I couldn't face the thought of a 6+hour trip with her sulking!

Understandable! Just text her now you are back and say you have realised you never got the money for the petrol.

She sounds like a joy. Just text her.

Well... You should text her..l but she does sound like she might not want to pay, if you were worried she would sulk for 6 hrs. She sounds far too much trouble to want to keep as a friend.

I'd text her with "I've just had a chance to tot up the petrol and your half is £xx, here are my bank details....."

She sounds very hard work, but I hope you enjoyed your holiday

I would text her re the money, it will eat you up otherwise.

If she doesn't pay wouldn't bother with her. She sounds too much bother to have as a friend anyway!
