MagnifiMad · 17/05/2016 02:30

I am in Canada so I am awake!

runnerselbow · 17/05/2016 02:32

Yep!

FV45 · 17/05/2016 02:35

Been waking very early due to depression (mid divorce from EA marriage), started taking ADs on Thursday and they say sleep can be disturbed - bloody marvellous.

I should probably get off the screen.

OP posts:
EchoOfADistantTide · 17/05/2016 02:43

Also in Canada. I'm in BC, where are you Magnifimad?

LittleHouseOnTheShelf · 17/05/2016 02:53

fv45 it's a bugger isn't it?

Baconyum · 17/05/2016 02:56

Migraine earlier I slept off so now wide awake!

MattDillonsPants · 17/05/2016 02:59

Hi OP. Am in Oz so middle of day here. Have you got a busy day tomorrow?

MagnifiMad · 17/05/2016 03:01

echo I am in Ontario.

Sorry to hear about sleep disturbance from the ADs, OP, probably is better to put screens away...but easier said than done.

steff13 · 17/05/2016 03:08

It's 10pm here in Ohio, AKA The Buckeye State!

justkeeponsmiling · 17/05/2016 03:11

I'm awake. I have a job interview in the morning and I'm so nervous I can't go back to sleep!

Baconyum · 17/05/2016 03:12

Loving that there's so many 'internationa' mumsnetters

ChopsticksandChilliCrab · 17/05/2016 03:12

In Singapore and not at work today so just chilling. 10.10am here. Would putting a favourite old film on and resting on the sofa work for you OP?

LittleHouseOnTheShelf · 17/05/2016 03:14

just good luck, what's it for?

justkeeponsmiling · 17/05/2016 03:16

Thank you! I work in adult nursing and want to swap to neonatal intensive care so I've done so much research into the post my brain has overloaded!!

nopel · 17/05/2016 03:22

I'm awake. I have hideous pregnancy insomnia which is really getting me down. The worse but is it makes my HG come back, so I'm in for a day of puking tomorrow.

Good luck with the interview Just

justkeeponsmiling · 17/05/2016 03:24

Thanks nopel . Poor you, that sounds awful Sad

nopel · 17/05/2016 03:28

Thanks. I'm 24 weeks now so getting used to it! Only 16 weeks more to go...

Is it easy to go from adult to neonatal nursing? I have a friend that's an nicu nurse, she loves it.

ChopsticksandChilliCrab · 17/05/2016 03:33

Good luck just!

LittleHouseOnTheShelf · 17/05/2016 03:35

A friend of mine is too, she also loves it.

PalaceResident · 17/05/2016 03:44

OP do you have any relaxation CDs? I use the Paul McKenna app for "I can make you thin" on it there is an audio track he calls hypnotic trance that helps you follow his system. Anyway, some nights when I can't get back to sleep (have a 14wk old DD whom I'm up feeding currently) I listen to it purely to help me relax back into sleep. My mother swears by some relaxation one she bought years ago too. Perhaps you could try that? Sorry the ADs are affecting your sleep but I hope they're helping otherwise!

justkeeponsmiling good luck tomorrow! You'll be fab! Believe the job is yours Smile

nopel I had a similar experience, the good news is all those symptoms disappear as soon as the little one arrives then you'll have you're little sweetheart. 16 weeks is a long enough time so just take it as easy as possible until then.

And yes, this thread does feel very international.

Flowersonthewall · 17/05/2016 03:45

yep I've got one very active baby doing kung fu or disco in my tummy. 32 weeks and cannot sleep!

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 17/05/2016 03:48

Sorry tmi but I have the runs and don't feel safe to go to sleep!! DS had this on Friday-I'm jealous he gets to wear w nappy, just what I need! Confused

houseHuntinginmanchester · 17/05/2016 03:56

Hi everyone. I'm awake.

Got lots of parent worries on my mind on both sides of the family.

Also had a little cry as dad passed away in may 5 years ago this year.

sittingonthedock · 17/05/2016 04:10

yes, can't sleep due to isshoos. (just posted in chat to try and offload and to find some support|)

sorry you are having a rubbish time sleeping op. You tube has some great meditations for sleep. I am going to listen to one just now. As have to go to work tomorrow and I will be crap if I don't get any sleep
