I'm having an issue with upstairs, im on my phone typing this so excuse mistakes.
Phoned police after last straw of upstairs who kicked my door three times as he left to go out.
He purposely stamps on the floor, walks arlund in boots 24/7 on laminate and makes noise whilst he knows im in a particular room. I understand perfectly these things arent a police matter

I called police for him kicking my door three times earlier and just as he came in at 2am

I called police at around 7pm, they just turned up at 3.40am woke me up to say they dont think its harassment
I said my partner who doesnt live with me is loosing his cool and they said to ask my partner to have a word with him Hmm
I said my partner will prob beat him up due to it beig clear he is a coward who is only picking on me cause im a young lone female with a baby.
They said its the cluncil duty of care but said they will notify intelligence due to him smoking weed n dealing

I honestly feel like its going to kick off very soon
Im trying to prevent this but it is very hard this man is trying to upset me and nobody will help me

What should i do

OP is not coming over well on this thread but neither are the people who persist in poking her.

However, I am in awe of your dogged detective skills Mardle and feel that in a different time and place you'd have the mystery of who scratched OP's car solved in a jiffy.

PaulAnkaTheDog · 17/05/2016 18:42

Probably true limited but I get the feeling the op knew exactly what she was doing with her tone when she was posting and knew exactly what kind of responses she was going to get. All over now anyway, hopefully if her neighbour did indeed vandalise her door then he gets what he deserves from the police.

"This thread is nuttier than squirrel shit " I'm so using that! Grin

This thread just keeps getting better and better!

limitedperiodonly · 17/05/2016 19:19

In what way GreenGlassLove?

GreenGlassLove · 17/05/2016 19:27

OP going off on one, insisting someone has keyed her car, ex husbands getting pissed and falling asleep in baths, maybe I'm just sleep deprived but I'm laughing!

PortiaCastis · 17/05/2016 20:13

GrrenGlass tbf the bath was empty and he was still in his suit but could not determine the difference between bath and bed.
At least I got a good night's sleep albeit my wedding night

I endured nearly five years of harassment from a neighbour and her husband. After about three years of relentless abuse, intimidation, lies to other neighbours, petty theft, criminal damage and threatening solicitor's letters I told her to: 'get your fat fucking arse the fuck out of my fucking garden and take your smelly paralysed streak of piss of a husband with you.'

The police were called, but not over that incident. As I've said, they dealt with it really well.

If I had posted on here that night, maybe people would have gleefully rounded on me for a bit of entertainment because in the words of GreenGlass: 'it's getting better and better' Hmm.

The OP has not covered herself in glory but neither are most of you. What the police said to me is that it's best to ignore people who annoy you rather than trying to provoke them or retaliate.

Why don't you take their advice?
