He says it is common, and lots of people eat a full packet at once.

Do you, or could you, or would you like to?

Yes if it's a packet of Chocolate Ginger Thins but there's "only" eight in a packet so that's little more than a celery stalk Grin

But that is clearly a binge so I don't think it's normal or what most people do.

TheDuchessOfArbroathsHat · 13/05/2016 21:58

I have to view biscuits in the same way as others might view cocaine, alcohol or gambling. I don't start eating them because I was at the back of the line the day they gave out self-restraint Grin If I don't start - and I absolutely do not start - then I am fine. I'm in awe of anyone who can eat a whole pack and then not start on another pack Grin

eyebrowse · 13/05/2016 22:04

This is why I am no longer eating any biscuits...

sleepyhead · 13/05/2016 22:04

If it was a short packet of McVities Chocolate Digestives, a packet of Jaffa Cakes, or a box of Mr Kipling's Cherry Bakewells, then yes I could (and have Blush).

I don't though very often.

emwithme · 13/05/2016 22:12

Do I? No, because I am on Slimming World
Could I? Yes, that is why I am on Slimming World
Do I Want To? Right now...yes. But we have no biscuits in the house because I am doing Slimming World.

dippypanda · 13/05/2016 22:12

Yes, however have suffered from bulimia for 20+ years or so. I don't buy biscuits for the house.

BIWI · 13/05/2016 22:13

No. I don't eat biscuits.

Way, way, way too many carbs from the flour and the sugar.

Lockheart · 13/05/2016 22:16

Rarely. And only chocolate fingers or jaffa cakes.

It's definitely not a normal occurrence, but it has been known...

chickenowner · 13/05/2016 22:23

Yes, which is why we're can't have biscuits in the house!

fusionconfusion · 13/05/2016 22:25

Only Jaffa Cakes, many years ago while giving up smoking. Wouldn't now, but could eat an unhealthy amount of custard creams.

MadHattersWineParty · 13/05/2016 22:26

Never ever.

I don't have a sweet tooth though.

Maybe cheese and Jacobs crackers? but haven't ever done it.

MumsKnitter · 13/05/2016 22:27

No, no and no. I had no idea that Jaffa cakes are so easy to swallow. Sometimes I eat 5 biscuits, but that's too many and makes me feel very full and a bit sick. Two or three is about right.

StrangeLookingParasite · 13/05/2016 22:31

Over what period?
I ate three Walkers oatflake and cranberry tonight, but that was enough; I didn't want any more. I suppose I might have once, but not any more.

crossparsley · 13/05/2016 22:35

I would, so I never buy biscuits.

poorpaws · 13/05/2016 22:47

Easy. I cd easily eat 2 packets. My name is poor paws and I am a pig!

AllThingsNautical · 13/05/2016 22:49

I can and have but I don't even enjoy it after the first biscuit. I keep eating to get that satisfaction which doesn't come. And then I feel sick with a racing heart and then slump into a lethargic crash. For me, there is no enjoyment to be had from it - it isn't a cheeky indulgence, it's miserable. We have a biscuit tin and I'm not going near it again. I find it easier to have none than just one!

Beyondheartbreak · 13/05/2016 22:49

Yes easily especially dunked in tea

chickindude · 13/05/2016 22:54

Not in a million years! Never have never will.
Olives on the other hand.... Or crispsHmm

PurpleRainDiamondsandPearls · 13/05/2016 22:56

I have with a packet of Jaffa cakes. I do have the potential to eat a lot, so I have to reign it in. I'm certainly a comfort binge eater. I have even binged on grapes. My stomach was not happy the next day, let me tell you!

junebirthdaygirl · 13/05/2016 22:57

Used to with no repercussions weight wise. Especially when breastfeeding. But flipping middle age caught up with me and can no longer do it. Ni biscuits in the house now and l feel all the better for it. Lost stone and a half since drawing a line in the sand where biscuits are concerned. Never cared about chocolate, cake, desserts only biscuits with a cup of tea.

MsVestibule · 13/05/2016 23:04

I absolutely could, but no, I never have. I only ever have one, with a cup of tea or coffee. I put weight on really easily, and a small packet of chocolate digestives could easily be over 1000 calories.

Actually, I think I'm lying. I may have done this once in my much younger days, with a packet of custard creams.

I'm on a fast day today (5:2 eating plan). I could so eat a packet of biscuits right now 🍪.

foursillybeans · 13/05/2016 23:06

I LOVE biscuits so much. But still no, but easy half or 3/4 of a packet. Blush

Patterkiller · 13/05/2016 23:08

I really don't like biscuits. I'll eat one out of politeness if I'm offered. But no I would never eat more than one.

Knackered69 · 13/05/2016 23:08

No, I don't do biscuits and sweet stuff.

I do do Cheese, crisps, dips etc Blush I could easily eat my own body weight in cheese Blush

But sweet things don't do it for me...

EveryoneElsie · 13/05/2016 23:09

Yes, if its butter shortbread as the packets are so stingy.
