He says it is common, and lots of people eat a full packet at once.

Do you, or could you, or would you like to?

A small posh biscuit pack with 8 maximum then maybe but probably not. But I'm not so much a biscuit person so find it relatively easy to resist. In my younger days I'd demolish a pot of Haagen Daz, and cake is easy to eat as well. And pudding, yum, I never make them because I'd be scarily obese if I had pudding on a regular basis.

BillBrysonsBeard · 13/05/2016 20:39

If it's a packet of cookies/jaffa cakes then easily.. If it's a big pack of digestives or any of the ones that are all dry, then no. Biscuits are so moreish though. I have a sweet tooth and the digestive system of a cow!

SparklesandBangs · 13/05/2016 20:41

YES

Beepbopboop · 13/05/2016 20:44

No not a pack of biscuits, because I don't like them.
But I would eat 6 bags of crisps, a whole big chocolate bar, a whole cake, or a box of ice lollies.
I try not to buy things like these because I have no control restraint, if I know it's there I will eat it!

OhtoblazeswithElvira · 13/05/2016 20:46

Yes, easily, have done many times. It doesn't affect my weight.

We normally don't keep biscuits in the house.

WhirlwindHugs · 13/05/2016 20:47

As others - something like jammie dodgers/crunch creams totally could... Would probably stop at 3/4 or a pack in reality. A big pack of digestives no.

Not healthy though and I know it.

lougle · 13/05/2016 20:49

I found that fig rolls were so easy to munch on when I used to do gaming. Then one day I looked at the packet. 70 calories each! 700 calories for a packet of fig rolls. Shocking.

UmbongoUnchained · 13/05/2016 20:51

2 slices left of my pizza. Poor effort umbongo 4/10.

DeadAsADildo · 13/05/2016 20:51

No, no, no.

Don't even eat biscuits. Except oatcakes. I can eat a lot of nuts, though.

Witchend · 13/05/2016 20:51

Yes Blush
My excuse is I only really like them when freshly opened. So it makes sense to have one more while they're still nice. And one more...

Longdistance · 13/05/2016 20:52

I did eat a whole packet of Maryland cookies once when breastfeeding dd1, who was a nightmare to feed. Dh was useless, and his dinner wasn't ready aw didums

Stuffofawesome · 13/05/2016 20:55

Jaffa cakes could which is why I don't buy them

bibbitybobbityyhat · 13/05/2016 20:55

God no! couldn't even begin to contemplate it (even though I am vair fat). I hardly ever eat biscuits but honestly can't ever remember eating more than 2 at a time.

17 stone dh wouldn't either.

limon · 13/05/2016 20:56

Yes I do.

Oly5 · 13/05/2016 20:57

Yes

Oriunda · 13/05/2016 21:02

Yes, yes and yes. Especially if they're Viscounts or fig rolls. I'd argue that the fig rolls have medicinal purpose though.

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 13/05/2016 21:03

No yes and yes.

The no is only because I'm doing slimming world.

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 13/05/2016 21:09

Used to do this as a student, a packet of Maryland cookies was about 39p and an acceptable dinner IMO.

Saw my gym coach do it last week Grin also Maryland. He runs marathons and shit though.

AliceInHinterland · 13/05/2016 21:13

3x yes. Blood sugar issues now - chicken or egg? I just get a red mist of hunger once I start eating sweet food, must be lovely not to have to battle that. Count yourself lucky you 2 biscuit people! Sounds like most people are doing what they want either way (i.e. not willpower stopping most non-eaters they just don't actually want more).

3luckystars · 13/05/2016 21:20

I got a lift back from a work conference with a woman one day and she stopped off at the petrol station and went in and bought a packet of biscuits and ate them all. I was totally shocked! I couldn't believe a person would eat a whole packet of biscuits like a packet of crisps. I thought it was mad!

I am shocked all over again now reading that other people do it too. And I absolutely love biscuits!!

Toadinthehole · 13/05/2016 21:22

No, no and no.

And I never have either. I'd be pretty appalled at myself if I ever did.

PatMustardsBigTool · 13/05/2016 21:22

Yes, yes, yes. Massive food issues and disorder though and little/no willpower or control. it's worrying and I try to control myself, but sometimes I'm shopping and the stuff ends up in the trolley (no control/denial) and then I have to eat it all straightaway. Pretty much like hiding the evidence, as if it never happened.
Quite cathartic, writing that down.

ARichVernacular · 13/05/2016 21:23

Do I? No.

Could I? It's certainly possible, under the right circumstances

Would I? Absolutely not. Unless they're shortbread, in which case I can't be held responsible for my actions.

Dozer · 13/05/2016 21:25

Yes, and I have a binge eating problem!

RunnerOnTheRun · 13/05/2016 21:25

Extremely common amongst dieters who are going way too low below their calories. The body forces gain by instigating binges. VERY common, but most people aren't honest.
