He says it is common, and lots of people eat a full packet at once.

Do you, or could you, or would you like to?

no never, 3 at a time max

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 13/05/2016 21:28

No. I've never even come close.

BuggerLumpsAnnoyed · 13/05/2016 21:31

Easily

FriskyFrog · 13/05/2016 21:32

I have, but there is only 8 in a pack.... Fox's raspberry cream fingers or whatever they are called. Utterly delicious. I could eat 2 packs in one sitting, never mind one!

BestZebbie · 13/05/2016 21:33

I definitely have eaten a whole pack of biscuits or After Eights over the course of a day-long session at a computer working, on many occasions (usually cookies rather than a massive pack of digestives). This was usually in lieu of actual food - I wouldn't have just sat down in front of the telly and eaten an entire packet.
Sadly since having a baby my body has suddenly worked out how to convert biscuits into immovable fat, so I probably won't be doing that anymore.

Katedotness1963 · 13/05/2016 21:33

I have never eaten an entire packet of biscuits at once. I couldn't. Four is my "I need to lie down and feel sick for a while" limit.

Dachshund · 13/05/2016 21:33

I absolutely have done in the past and most likely at some point will do again.

I do however have major binge eating issues...

BuggerLumpsAnnoyed · 13/05/2016 21:34

Bloody hell, I can't believe how shocked people are about it. Yeah its not great, but it's not like anyone's saying they do it every day. It's not like it's crack.

DeadAsADildo · 13/05/2016 21:37

To those who do eat a whole pack, do you let your dcs do that too? Or would they know that you do?

abigamarone · 13/05/2016 21:37

I couldn't eat afull pack pf mcvities chocolate digestives but the buttery raisin type things with 9 in a pack? Quite easily unfortunately - it might take over an hour and several cups of tea though

2rebecca · 13/05/2016 21:38

no if I'm that hungry I want real food. I don't find biscuits that exciting.

stayathomegardener · 13/05/2016 21:38

Of course... UABU your DH is vindicated.
What is it with Jaffa cakes, do you suspose they may be outlawed in years to come?

Never have biscuits in the house so a rare occurance.

Sleepingonthebus · 13/05/2016 21:38

I ate a whole pack of Cheddars once or twice. Just couldn't stop.

princessconsuelobananahammock · 13/05/2016 21:39

Yes, yes & no. I've also stopped buying them. If they're opened I'll eat the lot. Then I feel sick & disgusted with myself...until the next time. I'm massively avoiding sugar now after being a proper addict (see above!) and don't crave it at all. I had a few cravings at first but not now.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 13/05/2016 21:40

No I haven't ever, wouldn't want to and don't think I could even if I did want to.

I never have. I don't think my brain is wired to get much of a hit from sugar, which makes me very lucky. We hardly ever had sweet things growing up and I wonder what is cause and what effect - if my mum was the same as me and hence never bought them herself, or if not having had them means I never developed a taste for it. It's not that I have superior self control, sugar just doesn't really do it for me...

2rebecca · 13/05/2016 21:46

We don't have any biscuits in the house either. I mainly eat them with tea or coffee at work. Could quite happily live without biscuits.

AdoraKiora · 13/05/2016 21:47

I dont anymore ...but I easily could!

AwakeCantSleep · 13/05/2016 21:48

Vanillekipferl, I could probably eat a packet of. (Or even better, a whole handmade batch.) They are (thankfully) not easy to get hold of in this country though (decent ones, anyway).

The hydrogenated fat infused with E numbers crap that is sold under the name of 'biscuits' in the shops here: bleurgh. Two is my absolute limit. I avoid if I can. Not worth the calories for me.

rockchick78 · 13/05/2016 21:48

I have! Not even sorry!!!

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 13/05/2016 21:50

Have done. Many times. Especially when I was at Uni. Maryland cookies were my dinner most days Blush

Its why I rarely eat them now. Once I start then thats it, takes more willpower to stop than not start in the first place.

I agree its not normal nor should it be.

I also think I have food issues, but never been diagnosed or even looked into it. Maybe I should.

Oysterbabe · 13/05/2016 21:50

No I couldn't manage that much sugar, and I am quite the glutton.

manicinsomniac · 13/05/2016 21:52

Only if I was extremely depressed and near a shop. And then I'd make myself sick afterwards.
For some reason it seems less disgusting to me to eat and purge that amount of calories than just to eat them. Which is really, really fucked up, I know!

Hippee · 13/05/2016 21:53

Garibaldi Blush. Have to make myself not buy them.
