He says it is common, and lots of people eat a full packet at once.

Do you, or could you, or would you like to?

Allalonenow · 13/05/2016 20:14

No, I've never done that, one or two at a time is enough for me.

Ceilinglight · 13/05/2016 20:14

No I couldn't and I'd feel bad if I did.

My DH doesn't either, but we had a very stressful afternoon in the supermarket once and DH ate a whole pack of biscuits WHILE WE WERE SHOPPING and paid for the empty packet at the end. What's worse, I didn't even notice until we got to the checkout!!!

lljkk · 13/05/2016 20:16

yes when I was 19 or 21, not since i was 30-something, though. Not even after cycling 100 miles or the like.

Would rather fill up with other things & save biscuits to be special? Eating them all in one sitting you don't even taste them properly.

Ifiwasabadger · 13/05/2016 20:16

God no, never. I don't even buy the tasty little fuckers...they never darken my door.

monkeyfacegrace · 13/05/2016 20:17

What the fuck is wrong with you all?

I can eat 2 packets without breaking a sweat. Shovel them in. Biscuits rule.

Especially chocolate hobnobs. I have no off switch.

UmbongoUnchained · 13/05/2016 20:17

bevy I ate so much crap the other day I actually thought I was having a heart attack. Grin

So... Pizza!

RiverWhy · 13/05/2016 20:24

no. think my last biscuit was around chistmas,...ask me about savouries and thats a whole other thread!

WriteforFun1 · 13/05/2016 20:25

I don't, I wouldn't be able to
I don't know anyone else who could either

wouldn't you get ill? Is this "he" a teenager?

maybe if you'd been hungry for a couple of days but otherwise no. I am picturing a standard pack of choc digestives with, what, 15 in?

BevyofQuails · 13/05/2016 20:26

Good luck Umbongo, maybe get some insulin ready just on case...

It might be common to have eaten a whole packet of biscuits in one go, but it's probably not a good idea to do it regularly.

SaucyJack · 13/05/2016 20:26

I possibly couldn't and definitely wouldn't.... but I can eat any amount of crisps or bread.

Salt is my downfall- not sugar.

BlueFolly · 13/05/2016 20:27

No

TheSuspiciousMsWhicher · 13/05/2016 20:28

I have in the past. But I had disordered eating at the time and it was part of that. It's not something I would do now.

fakenamefornow · 13/05/2016 20:29

No, no and maybe.

Biscuits are the food of the gods but three, at a real push four, in one sitting would be the absolute max I'd eat. Even if I wanted to eat the whole packet I wouldn't.

ChihuahuaChick · 13/05/2016 20:30

I actually struggle not to, that's why we rarely have biscuits in the house unless they're individually wrapped. But I have a horrendous relationship with food and used to be able to put away a six bag multipack of walkers in one go and not really feel full/eat a whole pizza as a snack so modelling your eating habits on me is a pretty bad idea.

londonrach · 13/05/2016 20:30

Only jaffa cakes...an open packet of jaffa cakes is an empty package but they cakes so dont count. Other biscuits.....one or two per seating.

vulgarbunting · 13/05/2016 20:30

Yes. Which is why I would never buy them.

mawbroon · 13/05/2016 20:30

I have bipolar and my eating tends to be linked to my mood.

So, when I'm depressed then i could and would easily eat a whole packet of biscuits.

When I'm well, I would be tempted but would stop at a couple.

When I'm manic, I don't eat much at all.

notamummy10 · 13/05/2016 20:31

Yes I do... Not on a regular basis though as I don't have a sweet tooth.

But last night I ate a whole packet of Jammy Dodgers!

LaurieMarlow · 13/05/2016 20:31

No, can't conceive of it. Couldn't do more than 2/3 in a sitting.

Crisps on the other hand.

chipsandpeas · 13/05/2016 20:33

Yup I can do it easily

Brekekekex · 13/05/2016 20:33

I could, and sometimes would like to, but I don't. I think my eating is somewhat disordered though.

Twinklestar2 · 13/05/2016 20:34

Am 37 and have never done this.

FFTransform · 13/05/2016 20:34

Yes I could eat a whole packet easily with no shame

I don't usually want or have in the house but when I do they get munched!

skankingpiglet · 13/05/2016 20:35

Under normal circumstances? No, unless it's a packet of those jam'n'cream biscuits or the posh cookies that only have a few biscuits in a pack. Usually I try not to keep biscuits in the house to avoid temptation.

However I'm currently heavily pregnant and we have the builders in so have stock piled biscuits (look after your builders...). The poor brickies never got to find out I'd bought chocolate hobnobs Blush They got the garibaldis Grin If it makes it any better I didn't have lunch that day!

Mominatrix · 13/05/2016 20:36

No. No. No.

I'd feel extremely sick. 1-2 biscuits is all it takes to sate an appetite (depending on size). Eating more than that is simply gluttonous.
