Should Disney have a same sex couple?

Just getting views.

This is something I feel like Disney movies should have.

Being in a same sex couple is nothing to hide from children.

All for diverse programming providing we don't acknowledge homosexuality until their teens then afro? Being mixed race is not proof that you're all for diverse programming.

Loveludiscusfiah I always assumed Prunella and Pat were a same sex couple too.

Only when your alternative view is bigoted.

You're coming across as bigoted - loud and clear.

You mentioned your children. I hope they grow up without sharing your homophobic, ridiculous views.

Going to deny that you think being gay is wrong, Afro? While you're talking about disgusting comments, that is

My parenting is stellar thanks lulu. Not sure when I said being gay was wrong either!

Wouldn't hold your breath. Disney has always been a sold reinforcer of conservative social norms. Almost every Disney movie revolves around a romantic storyline of boy-meets-girl. I find that unsettling enough when the movies are aimed at kids and just don't understand why there is a need for a romantic storyline at all. It's a kids movie! Make it about adventure and danger and challenges and kids overcoming their fears. Not romance.

Prunella and Pat are definitely a couple :)

Agree with afro.

So you're not denying it then, Afro? You think hetero is ok, but homo is bad, don't you?

Why Vixx? I'd like to know why you and Afro think it would be wrong to include a same sex couple. Precisely why - be specific.

I'm just waiting for Prince charming to wake up and realize that instead of the pretty girl who only likes him for his kingdom, it's Jeffrey the man servant whose been with him through thick and thin and who he really loves.

I think we are very long way off it. And DreamWorks will do it first,- think of surely, when donkey and the Dragon had babies, they weren't the disneyfied 3 baby dragons and 4 baby donkeys. It was 6 baby drankeys.

Mummy/daddy/uncle/auntie and so on. Why is Elsa marrying Catherine? Because they love each other and want to be together forever.

It's simple.

In the interests of inclusion, if Disney introduce same sex relationships, maybe they should introduce a transgendered character too?

Disney have always portrayed this fleetingly, but as a case of sideline cross-dressing for comedic effect...so maybe it's time to introduce a genuine TG hero/heroine?

Rather than the usual Disney fairytale, where the battle is against dragons and sorcerers, they could focus the story on the struggle against bigotry and intolerance?

Cross dressing Robin Hood and cross dressing Genie. All done for a laugh. This is quite clearly discrimination against TG and needs to be changed.

Violet

Disney already has plenty of male heros.

You're pretty goady aren't you lulu? Not sure why you're ordering people to explain themselves to you Confused

Oh yes, its because they happen to disagree with you - as you seem to think that what and who you "do" in the bedroom wholly defines you as an individual and needs to be shared with the world. Sorry but it doesnt and this isnt the key issue that needs prominence in our young childrens lives.

I have already stated my opinion on the matter.
